The World Health Organization serves as the directing and coordinating authority for public health within the United Nations system. WHO seeks to promote health, ensure everyone can attain the highest level of health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable through partnerships, people and countries.
Context
WHO’s Operational Support and Logistics (OSL) function in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) operates a complex multi-corridor supply chain involving local and international procurement, humanitarian shipments, and partner support for the movement of goods into Gaza. Given the increasing volume and complexity of shipments, the number of partners requesting WHO logistical support, and the need for real-time visibility across corridors (and especially Egyptian corridor when it comes to this function), there is a critical need to strengthen information management and establish enabling systems within OSL.
The WHO Office in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) serves as the principal technical adviser to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, providing strategic and technical support to strengthen the health system, improve service delivery, address public health priorities, and advance universal health coverage.
The Supply Data Specialist will play a central role in ensuring transparent, accurate and timely supply chain information for WHO, partners, and coordination mechanisms. The position will serve as the analytical and coordination bridge between procurement, logistics, and partner engagement.

The Supply Data Specialist will play a central role in ensuring transparent, accurate and timely supply chain information for WHO, partners, and coordination mechanisms. The position will serve as the analytical and coordination bridge between procurement, logistics, and partner engagement.
Task description
Under the direct supervision of the Operations Support and Logistics (OSL) Lead, the UN Volunteer will:
A. Supply Chain Information Management
• Track the Egyptian Corridor supply chain from end-to-end (international and local) by consolidating existing World Health Organization (WHO ) supply monitoring datasets and combining those with partner supply chain data as shared via templates, and visualize in dashboards to aid operational decisions and provide timely information.
• Create pages in dashboards for donor-specific shipment information and incoming supplies per donor contribution.
• Track and report the number of pallets and trucks entering Gaza through the Egyptian Corridor using the established truck follow-up files maintained in Egypt, and ensure the adequate set of data is shared with Country Office counterparts.
• Support WHO partners and staff in data quality checks related to stock management and transport.
B. Partner Pipeline Management (Health Logistics Working Group- HLWG)
• Request weekly pipeline updates from all HLWG partners.
• Consolidate partner submissions and integrate them into the HLWG dashboard.
• Ensure that partner data is displayed accurately and regularly refreshed (minimum weekly).
• Support partners in understanding the data reporting template and resolving discrepancies.
C. Partner Request Management Platform
• Support the establishment of a digital platform for receiving transport support requests from partners (in-kind donations or other consignments) .
• Coordinate with the Logistics Coordination Cell (LCC) to ensure timely review, approval, and prioritization of partner requests.
• Maintain records of decisions made by the OSL Lead, Health Operations, and Senior Management.
D. Reporting and Analysis
• Produce weekly and monthly analytical reports for the OSL Lead, Health Operations, and Senior Management.
• Provide visualizations and summaries for internal meetings and donor reporting.
• Respond to ad hoc information requests from management, partners, and clusters.
