INTRODUCTION TO GGGI

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. To learn more please visit about GGGI web page.

PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Guyana-Norway Partnership, initiated in 2009, represents a globally recognized model for results-based payments for forest climate services. Through this partnership, the Guyana REDD+ Investment Fund (GRIF) has financed nineteen (19) transformative projects aimed at sustainable development, institutional strengthening, green energy, and climate resilience, while maintaining one of the world’s highest levels of forest cover.

As Guyana progresses toward advancing its Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) 2030, it is important to capture and communicate the stories of change, challenges, and impact resulting from GRIF-funded projects.

The Global Green Growth Institute, in collaboration with the GRIF secretariat, is implementing a project designed to support the GRIF in developing several knowledge products, including case studies to showcase the impact the Guyana-Norway partnership has made through these projects since its inception in 2009.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The objective of this consultancy is to design 16 case studies (encompassing the 19 projects) that showcase the achievements, impacts, and lessons learned from GRIF-funded initiatives. This will include 15 visually compelling, high-quality, technical, and human-centered case studies highlighting individual projects, as well as one (1) overarching Guyana–Norway case study that captures the broader partnership and its contributions.

SCOPE OF WORK

Design and develop infographics (including charts, diagrams, flowcharts, and icons) that transform raw data, statistics, and processes into clear, visually engaging formats. The infographics should be designed by thematic areas and as a collection or series, enhance the readability and accessibility of the case studies by ensuring a logical visual hierarchy, clarity of presentation, and consistency with the overall design template. Emphasize the role of the case studies in demonstrating the impact, lessons learned, and scalability of GRIF investments under LCDS 2030.

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for:

  1. Case Study Template Design & Layout
  • Engage with the GGGI GIRF team to select the order of priority for the nineteen (15) representative projects across thematic areas (e.g. Climate adaptation & resilience)

  • Develop a professional, branded template (cover page, content layout, graphics, typography, icons, and color scheme) for 15 technical and human impact case studies aligned with organizational branding guidelines.

  • Templates must be designed to be flexible enough to be reused for multiple case studies while maintaining consistency and in keeping with the thematic areas identified.

  • Design one (1) overarching Guyana- Norway case study.

2. Visualized Infographics & Data Representation

  • Design and develop infographics (including charts, diagrams, flowcharts, and icons) that transform raw data, statistics, and processes into clear, visually engaging formats. 3. Case Study Document

  • Design and layout of the 15 project-specific case studies (8-10 pages each) and one Guyana-Norway Partnership agreement case study (10-12 pages), depending on content, integrating narrative text with images, pull quotes, and infographics for a visually engaging and professional presentation.

  • Prepare final outputs in both print-ready (PDF) and web-optimized formats, ensuring accessibility and ease of online sharing.

4. Social Media Graphics / Summaries

  • Create 1-2 visually engaging social media assets per case study (e.g., LinkedIn carousel, Twitter/X card, Instagram post) that summarize key highlights, results, or quotes from the case study, with assistance from GGGI.

5. Visual Identity Assets & Iconography

  • Develop a set of custom icons, illustrations, or small design elements to visually represent recurring themes (e.g., sustainability, community, finance, technology) where necessary.

  • Ensure assets can be reused across multiple case studies for a cohesive series look.

  • Incorporate infographics, icons, charts, and imagery where relevant.

  • Advise on the infographics used for maximum impact and engagement with the target audience.

  • Conduct two rounds of revisions for each case study based on feedback.

  • Deliver polished, print-ready and web-optimized versions.

  • Client-approved final versions provided in digital and print-ready formats.
