OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

WHO is the specialized agency of the United Nations with the objectives to promote health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable. The WHO Indonesia Country Office directs and coordinates the authority for health by supporting the Indonesian Government in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of national health policies, strategies and plans and through WHO's technical cooperation programmes, integrating a gender, equity and human-rights based approach. WHO seeks to address the pledge of leaving no one behind in the programme areas to achieve the national health goals by providing needs-based technical assistance in national level policy formulation, setting norms and standards, improving knowledge dissemination, monitoring the country health situation and building sustainable institutional capacity, to play a greater leadership role in different national technical forums as well as contribute to regional and global public health platforms. The objective of the planning unit is to strengthen the WHO Country Office and enhance collaboration with national health authorities, partners and stakeholders by providing technical support and assistance in health planning, resource mobilization, reporting and management of WHO collaborative programmes.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The incumbent will perform all or part of the following, and other related responsibilities as required by the needs of the office: 1.Produce a variety of reports and publications, such as country case studies, success stories, summaries and highlights that promote the work of WHO Indonesia as well as its partners. This may include coordinating inputs from technical programmes, collecting and interpreting data, summarizing survey results, and comparing old and revised technical guidance documents.2.Consult with technical and communication teams to design overall presentation of content, graphic elements, photo editing and layout for publications to present WHO's interventions.3.Develop grant proposals, concept notes, donor visibility and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plans, and donor reports, in collaboration with technical teams. This may include creating graphics and statistical summaries, applying results-based approaches and ensuring quality and compliance with donor requirements.4.Conduct research and prepare grant analysis, donor profiles and briefing notes in preparation of meetings and/or relations with new and existing donors.5.Develop and implement strategies for partner engagement and visibility activities (i.e., newsletter, partner highlights, site visits, coordination briefings) to maintain visibility and recognition of partner investments.6.Provide technical support for consistent documentation and reporting across all WHO country programmes, while supporting monitoring and knowledge management activities by collecting, compiling, and analysingfeedback, data, statistics, and other relevant information for reporting purposes.7.Support the development of tools and systems for centralized data collection, monitoring and reporting of the country office's technical activities.8.Provide guidance and technical support to M&E efforts across country office programmes, including in-house training and capacity building9.Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: University degree (bachelor's) in international relations, political science, health/public health, social science
Desirable: Training on mainstreaming gender and/or results based management (RBM) principles in projects/programmes. Advanced degree in public health.

Experience

Essential: A minimum of two years of experience relevant to the position (reporting, documentation, knowledge management and/or communication).
Desirable: Experience in health/public health programme/project management, including monitoring and reporting, at the national level.Experience in partner coordination and communications for partnerships.Relevant experience in a UN system agency or international organization is considered as an asset.

REMUNERATION

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at IDR 734,133,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
