About this position
We are looking for a dedicated, energetic, and team-oriented Treasury and Risk Senior Specialist as Team Lead in the Cash Management Team. As a Treasury and Risk Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the cash management, FX trading, and liquidity planning activities.
You will work in the Cash Management and Settlements (CMS) team, which is part of the Treasury department in Finance. The CMS team ensures that all money moves—accurately, securely, on time, and in full compliance—while safeguarding the institution's liquidity, reputation, and operational resilience.
What you’ll do
- Guide and coordinate the daily activities of the Cash Management Team, including having sufficient liquidity to meet obligations while minimizing idle cash, ensuring full compliance with Bank policies, procedures, internal controls, and service standards, and maintaining a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and operational integrity.
- Coordination with Funding, Investment and Risk teams; monitoring compliance with liquidity policies and buffers approved by the Board.
- Oversight of payment execution and control, processing loan disbursements and replenishments to our country offices within the region.
- Oversee ALM related treasury activities for the Bank’s Local Treasuries, including providing direction on the management of equity positions and requests for the execution of swaps, rollovers, and unwindings to support local currency liquidity management and balance sheet objectives.
- Serve as the primary coordination point between the Cash Management function and relevant Treasury, Finance, and risk stakeholders, ensuring effective liquidity coordination, oversight of cash flow forecasts and management reports, and the provision of analytical insights on liquidity metrics, trends, and variances for management and Finance use.
- Ensure the effective execution of the Bank’s foreign exchange transactions, including OTC and tailored solutions, by overseeing execution processes, coordinating with internal stakeholders and counterparties, and ensuring alignment with approved liquidity and risk management frameworks.
- Monitor compliance with approved cash and capital markets limits, in coordination with Risk Management, ensuring that cash balances and exposures remain within established thresholds and that any breaches or exceptions are promptly addressed and escalated.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize system and process enhancement needs, providing business oversight for initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, automation, and control, and coordinating the implementation of system integrations and initiatives such as the consolidation of bank accounts.
- Proactively identify operational risks and evolving business needs, guiding the development and implementation of process improvements and procedural enhancements to streamline cash management and capital markets services, transaction flows, reconciliations, and investigations across the Bank.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with internal clients and external banking partners, ensuring effective coordination, service quality, and issue resolution, and supporting the efficient and prudent management of the Bank’s financial resources.
What you'll need
- Education: Master's in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification is also desirable.
- Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in Cash Management, Liquidity Management, FX trading or related fields.
- Language: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
