Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
- Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
Implement delegated CC project portfolio according to plan of action.
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
Responsible for organizing and delivery of tasks in line with priorities and standards.
Ensure proper filing of documents.
Support and contribute to the development of a data management system through documentation, implementation and coordination of standardizes information flow of MEL activities and reporting.
Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities
Conduct regular field visits to oversee data collection and ensure all monitoring activities are implemented according to established procedures and quality standards.
Provide training and onboarding to enumerators, ensuring their full understanding of tools, methodologies, and data collection protocols.
Lead and carry out on-the-spot checks across all core competencies and project activities to verify compliance, accuracy, and consistency of field implementation.
Document and report findings from spot checks, preparing detailed reports and raising observations to the M&E Officer and management as needed.
Support the M&E Officer in conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs).
Participate in community mobilization and engagement activities when required to facilitate data collection or feedback exercises.
Provide support to the Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) Officer in implementing CFM-related activities when needed.
Perform data cleaning, verification, and maintenance after collection to ensure completeness and quality prior to analysis by the M&E Officer.
Undertake other duties as agreed and assigned by the M&E Coordinator and line manager.

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
Experience from working in IDP /refugee-related programmes.
Experience with and knowledge of principles and current approaches to monitoring and evaluation in relief and development programs, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Experience in handling feedback.
Fluency in English & Arabic.
Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge of digital data collection platforms (KoBo, CommCare, Ona) is an addition.
