Result of Service

The deliverables for this consultancy are directly linked to the outputs outlined above. The consultant will be responsible for accomplishing these deliverables within a 06-month timeframe, commencing in September 2024. Monthly payments will be made, contingent upon the consultant's progress update. The fee for this consultancy is set at US$ 228 per day.

Work Location

This consultancy will take place in Amman, Jordan or remotely (to be online during working hours in the region)

Expected duration

The duration of the consultancy is for 6 months with possible extension.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create editorial content (stories, photos, advocacy images, contests, campaigns, audio, video, infographics, etc.) in coordination with the Digital Communications and social media Officer and adapt for media pitching, web and social media, posting to respective channels. • Maintain social media calendar and content plans of content themes and all upcoming coverage schedules according to the calendar. • Assist with creating original UNRWA multimedia (photo and video) materials for dissemination across website and social media channels. • Conduct regular media and social media assessment reports to measure the impact of UNRWA digital communications efforts. • Draft posts for different accounts and prepare engaging social media packages for international days, Specific events, and other occasions, targeting different audiences, including donors. • Coordinate the development of creative, innovative, and engaging audio-visual content for use on social media, including video and infographics/data visualization with graphic designers, multimedia specialists, and external providers. • Develop communication materials and content targeted at donors and highlighting UNRWA’s partnerships with key institutional donors. • Coordinate social media content and messages with partner organizations. • Monitor and analyze social media user data and make proposals for adjustments, as necessary. • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/special skills

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institute, preferably in communications, marketing, graphic design, videography or a related discipline. • At least 04 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of two continuous years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA, and outside the country(s) of which the candidate is a national or holds citizenship, a passport or a national identity number. • Experience in video editing and content creation for social media required.

Languages

Excellent command of spoken and written English is required. Arabic is desirable.
