INTRODUCTION TO GGGI

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. To learn more please visit about GGGI web page.

As GGGI’s portfolio and country presence expand, there is a growing need to strengthen the link between its upstream policy and project development work and downstream implementation and partnerships. In this context, more structured engagement with the private sector, particularly to support fundraising from private sector partners, is critical to scaling GGGI’s delivery, especially amid declining Official Development Assistance (ODA) flows and increasing pressure to diversify funding sources.

Within this context, GGGI is enhancing its capacity to structure and deliver public-private partnerships (PPPs), mobilize private sector resources, and build long-term strategic relationships with leading private sector actors. This includes developing platforms for dialogue and collaboration, as well as partnership models that generate both programmatic collaboration and direct financial contributions to GGGI.

The Deputy Director will play a central role in advancing this agenda, leading GGGI’s positioning as a trusted partner for governments and a credible platform for private sector engagement, partnership development, and fundraising.
