This vacancy notice seeks to recruit two Analyst (LOGFAS) positions in Grade G10: Analyst (LOGFAS) - OJC OZOX 0100 and Analyst (LOGFAS) - OJC OZPX 0120.

We are hiring highly motivated individuals to join the HQ Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) as Analyst (LOGFAS) in two main areas:

  • Analyst (LOGFAS) supporting strategic deployments with a focus on the JOA centre

  • Analyst (LOGFAS) supporting the Coordination Reference Data Management process

In this role, you will be responsible for analysing, reporting, and responding to daily events related to Strategic Deployments, with a primary focus on the Joint Operations Area (JOA) Centre. You will maintain, update, and verify the LOGFAS database to ensure accuracy and alignment with the Country Catalogue.

Analyst (LOGFAS) supporting the Coordination Reference Data Management process

In this role, your primary focus will be to support the Coordination Reference Data Management process in support of the LOGFAS M&T Tools software and contribute to maintaining up-to-date lists of points of contact in National, NATO, and other non-NATO HQs and organizations for the distribution of software and dissemination of information related to LOGFAS.

THE ROLE

With focus on JOA Centre:

  • Maintain visibility, coordinate/de-conflict with JFCs for Strategic deployment/Re-Deployment issues, mainly focused on JOA Centre.

  • Maintain and update LOGFAS data.

  • Verify data with data providers (national and NATO).

  • Assist with the interrogation of software in response to staff requests.

  • Ensure LOGFAS data corresponds with Country Catalogues information.

  • Assist the HQ staff with data for the planning, execution and reporting of M&T activity.

  • Provide advice on LOGFAS issues.

  • Analyze Deployment DATA.

  • May augment the JFC/JWC during crisis, operations and exercises.

  • May act as an AMCC SME within the JSEC JOC.

With focus on Coordination Reference Data Management:

  • Support the Deployment Planning Process in AMCC, for the MNDDP’s development, mainly focused, but not limited, on Regional Centre.

  • Contribute to maintaining up-to-date lists of points of contact in National, NATO, and other non-NATO HQs and organizations for the distribution of software and dissemination of information related to LOGFAS.

  • Maintain and update LOGFAS data, mainly focused, but not limited, on Regional Centre.

  • Verify data with data providers (national and NATO).

  • Ensure LOGFAS data corresponds with Country Catalogues information, mainly focused on Regional Plan Centre.

  • Assist the HQ staff with data for the planning, execution and reporting of M&T activity.

  • Provide advice on LOGFAS issues.

  • Analyze Deployment DATA for Standing Plans, mainly focused on Regional Plan Centre.

  • May augment the JFC/JWC during crisis, operations and exercises.

  • May act as an AMCC SME within the JSEC JOC.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have

  • Higher Secondary education and intermediate vocational training in logistics, transport or related discipline which might lead to a formal qualification with 2 years’ experience, or Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.

  • Profound experience providing support to military movements/strategic deployments and maintaining related databases.

  • Working knowledge of Automatic Data Processing (ADP) systems.

  • A good command of English both written and spoken.

The following would be considered as an advantage:

  • Operational and international experience, ideally in NATO, Joint or Combined Staff.

  • Familiarity with NATO doctrine, regulations and procedures related to Logistics and Movement.

  • Familiarity with planning and decision-making processes within NATO.

  • Mission experience.

  • Experience in staff operations at Brigade-level or higher.

  • Experience in deployment procedures and required national efforts to contribute to NATO missions and exercises.

  • Any further training certificates and courses related to subject field or acquired through NATO.

Headquarters JSEC provides a resilient operational-level Joint Headquarters, capable of supporting 24/7 operations to coordinate enablement (at the operational level) and, in order, the execution of reinforcement by forces (RbyFo) and sustainment flow in order to contribute to the Alliance's ability to project and sustain combat power into a Joint Operations Area (JOA).

The Operations Directorate (OPS) is responsible for directing, monitoring, assessing and coordinating joint staff functions. The Allied Movement Coordination Centre (AMCC) is responsible for Multinational (MN) Detailed Deployment/Redeployment Plan (DDP/DRP). The Allied Deployment Execution Branch is responsible for coordinating the execution of DDPs/DRPs across or outside SACEUR’s AOR, determining ongoing/emerging requirements, developing solutions, and implementing necessary related inputs.

CONTRACT

a. Serving NATO International Civilian staff will be offered a contract in accordance with the NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations.

b. In accordance with current policy, newly recruited staff will be offered a three-year contract which may be extended, subject to a satisfactory recommendation, to an indefinite duration contract.

c. Salary/Benefits: The salary is tax free including (where eligible) expatriation, family and children's allowances and additional privileges for expatriate staff; Education allowance for children (where appropriate) and an excellent private health insurance scheme; Generous annual leave and home leave (if eligible); Retirement Pension Plan.
