The Communication Consultant will provide the following deliverables: DELIVERABLE 1: May 2026 Develop and submit a six-month Communication and Visibility Plan for the ACP Business-Friendly Programme in Ghana, with a regional dimension covering Liberia and Mozambique. The plan must include: • A review of communication achievements from the previous contract period • A content calendar aligned with programme milestones and EU visibility requirements • A distribution and promotion strategy specifying channels for each content type (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, Ghanaian local media, ITC corporate channels) • Roles and coordination arrangements with the regional and ITC A4A communication teams • Compliance approach with ITC editorial and visual identity guidelines DELIVERABLE 2: June 2026 Produce and publish a media and press package to establish project visibility in Ghana. • A minimum of two (2) written articles published in Ghanaian local media outlets, covering recent ACP Business-Friendly project activities • A minimum of three (3) short beneficiary testimonial videos (2–3 minutes each), filmed in the field following specific project activities, formatted and captioned for use by ITC communication teams and regional partners Note: Routine field photos and raw footage collected during this period feed into Deliverable 4 (the multimedia bank). DELIVERABLE 3: July 2026 Design and deliver a complete set of branded visibility materials for the programme, in compliance with ITC visual identity guidelines. • A series of social media cards optimised for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, and Instagram — covering key programme components (harvesting, post-harvesting, cooperative development, market access) • Infographic(s) summarising programme results and key data points • Short visual summaries (1-page format) for at least two thematic components All materials must be submitted in editable source formats alongside final exports. DELIVERABLE 4: August 2026 Create and submit a structured, high-resolution multimedia content bank consolidating all visual assets produced during the contract period to date. Classified and captioned high-resolution photographs from field missions and programme events, edited video clips ready for use by ITC and partner communication teams and organised folder structure with metadata (date, location, subjects, rights clearance status) DELIVERABLE 5: September 2026 Produce a series of short documentary-style videos (5–10 minutes each) highlighting distinct thematic components of the programme, using the project's available videography equipment. Each video must address a different theme: • Video 1: Value addition and market access (Ghana focus) • Video 2: Cooperative strengthening and institutional support to BSOs • Video 3: Youth and women's participation in the agribusiness value chain DELIVERABLE 6: October 2026 Final communication summary report: A concise written report (max. 10 pages) covering: content produced across the contract period, channels and platforms used, reach and engagement data where available, lessons learned, and recommendations for the next communication cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities

The International Trade Centre (ITC) is a joint agency of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization for trade-related technical cooperation in developing countries. The Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (OLAC), as a geographical section of the Division of Country Programmes (DCP), is responsible for defining the ITC strategy and coordinating all interventions in the region, either for individual countries or at the sub-regional and regional levels. The Sector Competitiveness Unit (SEC) is responsible for developing and disseminating sector level expertise for sustainable market driven solutions in ITC, including the Alliances for Action (A4A) methodology. A4A is a participatory partnership model that engages smallholder farmers and MSMEs in order to manage risk and facilitate networks that provide the required technical expertise and capacity building. The “Support to Business Friendly and Inclusive National and Regional Policies, and Strengthening Productive Capabilities and Value Chains” Programme aims to complement the European Union support for private sector development in ACP countries, under the context of the joint ACP-EU Programme for ACP Private Sector Development Support, adopted by ACP-EU Council of Ministers in Nairobi in 2014, and is financed from the 11th European Development Fund. With major focus on the development of agriculture and agri-business value chains, the Programme is designed to achieve two key outcomes: (1) adopting and implementing business-friendly, inclusive and responsible national policies and legal frameworks, and (2) strengthening productive, processing, promoting and marketing capabilities and value chains. ITCs is collaborating with UNIDO and the World Bank in the implementation of the program. ITC will lead the implementation of the micro pillar level of the Programme, which will focus on two core themes: 1) Promoting inclusive productive and commercial Alliances and investment to strengthen VC governance and MSME competitiveness; and 2) Increase small farmers and processors value addition, productivity and competitiveness Description of Duties/Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the ACP Business-Friendly Programme Manager – Inclusive Agribusiness System – and in close collaboration with the National Coordinator of the ACP project in Ghana, the Africa Regional Coordinator of the coffee component, and the Communication Expert of the Alliances for Action team, the consultant shall perform the following tasks: • Contribute to the development of communication materials (reports, articles, etc.) on activities relating to the implementation of the EU Business-Friendly Programme, in line with ITC’s editorial guidelines and visual identity standards. • Assist in coordination with the programme team and local partners to ensure synergy and consistent communication of the programme and events through flyers, brochures, and other visibility tools, using approved ITC templates. • Contribute to the design of social media cards and short video assets for online promotional posts of project events, following ITC’s visual identity and branding guidelines. • Participate in the co-production of short promotional videos on project activities and achievements, using available programme videography equipment. • Contribute to the design of scripts, scenarios, and storyboards for short project documentary videos and beneficiary feedback clips. • Organise and conduct field-based communication coverage in beneficiary areas, as identified by the ITC A4A communication team, including production of short documentary-style videos highlighting programme impact. • Ensure live streaming or recording of large-scale programme activities to support communication outreach, with adequate technical equipment. Copyright The Consultant has to ensure that s/he has obtained the necessary permissions with regard to intellectual property rights required to perform his/her services under this consultancy contract and for subsequent dissemination by ITC in any form. Documentary proof is to be submitted to ITC. Should any license fee be due for the use of copyrighted materials of third parties, the Consultant shall request prior written permission from ITC. S/he has further to ensure obtain accreditation to event(s), if required. Qualifications/special skills

• Graduate (BA/BSc MA/MSc/MBA) in communication, social sciences, business administration, economics, or other related fields. Practical audio-visual training would be an asset • Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the university degree. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field of communication, more specifically in audio-visual communication. • Excellent knowledge of editing software such as Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. • Experience working on international projects • Good knowledge of the institutional context in Ghana is an added advantage Skills • Entrepreneurial skills • High attention to detail • Ability to work on a variety of tasks • Proven ability to effectively plan, organize and implement activities • Ability to work in a team in a multicultural environment • Good writing, synthesis, and analytical skills • Good video editing skills Technical skills • Excellent ability to take good-quality photographs • Knowledge of design, typography, and production of printing and web products • Expertise in graphics, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc • Good writing skills, knowledge of composition for editing, and knowledge of grammar for proofreading • Excellent ability to produce brochures, publications, and press articles • Knowledge of the basics of community management on social media

Languages

• Fluency in written and spoken English is required. • Knowledge of the local language is considered an advantage.
