What we do
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide protection and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. We take action in response to emergencies and, at the same time, promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. We work closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and with their International Federation in order to ensure a concerted, rational and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of the victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. We direct and coordinate the international activities conducted in these situations.
Purpose
This position carries out skilled semi-routine HR administrative tasks under the close supervision and guidance of an HR Officer or HR Assistant 2. Standard practices are clearly defined and the incumbent follows established procedures to build core HR knowledge, and operational discipline.
The HR Assistant may be assigned specific deliverables from records management, onboarding, and or administrative support in the facilitation of talent management activities.

Relationships
- Internal - Works under close supervision from the HR Officer or HR Assistant 2; maintains contact with staff and departments to fulfill standard HR administrative requests; routes non-standard matters to the supervising HR Officer.
- External - May interact with government agencies or external contacts on basic administrative follow-up as directed.
Certifications / Education required
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Good command (written and spoken) of English.
- Computer literate, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Applications (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel)
Professional experience required
- No prior work experience required; relevant internship or practicum in HR is an advantage.
- Must be open to work onsite in Makati City
- Must be open to work on a fixed-term contract
