INTRODUCTION
The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB/The Bank) is seeking a Young Professional, Data Analytics and Information Management, in the Information and Technology Solutions Division. The successful candidate will be based at CDB’s headquarters located in St. Michael, Barbados.
THE DIVISION
The Information and Technology Solutions Department (ITSD) is at the center of the Bank’s digital transformation, supporting core systems while driving modern, technology enabled ways of working. The Department works on practical initiatives such as digital workflow automation, data analytics, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and the responsible use of emerging technologies like AI.
ITSD partners closely with business teams to turn ideas into solutions, improve how information is managed, and ensure technology delivers real value. Over the next two years, the focus is on modernising processes, strengthening data and digital foundations, and embedding digital first practices across the Bank.
THE ROLE
The position will report to the Manager, Data Analytics and Information Management who is accountable for providing a full slate of data analytics, information management and data governance services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Young Professional (YP), Data Analytics and Information Management to:

- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of dashboards, reports, and analytical outputs under the guidance of senior staff.
- Perform data collection, validation, and basic analysis to support reporting and decision-making.
- Maintain and improve documentation of data definitions, KPIs, assumptions, and methodologies to support consistency and reuse.
- Support information lifecycle management activities, including classification, retention, and disposal processes.
- Maintain and update metadata registers and data inventories, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide operational support to the implementation of data governance activities and controls, escalating issues as required.
- Support development of data governance artefacts such as data dictionaries, business glossaries, metadata standards, and basic data lineage documentation.
- Coordinate and support meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to data analytics and information management initiatives.
- Prepare meeting notes, track action items, and support follow-up activities.
- Contribute to routine progress reporting and status updates for assigned activities.
- Conduct research on tools and approaches that may improve document management, metadata extraction, and analytics capabilities.
- Provide first level support to business users on data, reporting, and information management matters.
- Support data literacy, awareness, and change support initiatives across the Bank.
- Build professional capability through on the job learning, mentoring, and application of new skills in assigned work areas.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The YP, Data Analytics and Information Management must have the technical skills listed below:

- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or another relevant discipline.

- Understanding of data analytics and information management principles.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Familiarity or exposure to data governance and/or records management frameworks is desirable.
- Interest in digital transformation and its impact on data analytics and information management.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
This role is a term-limited position with the successful candidate being contracted under the CDB YP Programme for a non-renewable two-year period commencing July 1, 2026. The YP shall receive a salary of USD60,600 per annum. The benefits package includes life and medical insurances.
