- Training and Methodological Package - a fully developed curriculum in accordance with the requirements for the development of training and methodological package and submitted to the Kyrgyz Republic Bar of Association Training Center for consideration. It includes module structure, learning objectives and outcomes, trainer methodology, and integration of international human rights standards (CEDAW, CRPD, CRC), HRBA, gender sensitivity, and “do no harm” principles, adapted to the Kyrgyz Republic context. - Comprehensive Training Materials Set - a complete package of materials for each module, including presentations, trainer guides, practical case studies and scenarios, and participant handouts. - Training Implementation Report covering delivery of training sessions (minimum agreed number), methodology used, participant profiles, and adaptation of content, ensuring interactive, inclusive, and ethical learning environments. - Assessment and Evaluation Package - pre- and post-training assessment tools, analysis of learning outcomes, participant feedback summaries. - Practical Legal Tools Toolkit - a set of ready-to-use tools for lawyers, including bilingual pocket guide, interview checklists (including for vulnerable groups), court preparation checklists, guidelines on prevention secondary victimization, templates for procedural legal documents, guidance on application of the Istanbul Protocol (where relevant). - Final Consolidated Report summarizing all activities, outputs, outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for sustainability and future use.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop a Training and Methodological Package. Based on that prepare training materials. Objective: to develop a comprehensive Training and Package based on international human rights standards and national legislation; and a comprehensive set of materials for the delivery of training and subsequent use by lawyers. The Package must be developed in close collaboration with ROCA and the Bar Association Training Center, including content development and validation. a) Develop the programme structure (modules, learning objectives and outcomes). - integrate standards, including Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Convention on the Rights of the Child and other standards deriving from the UN Human Rights Mechanisms. - Incorporate the principles of human rights based approach, gender sensitivity and 'do no harm'. - Adapt the programme to the context of the Kyrgyz Republic. b) Prepare presentations for each module. - develop practical case studies and scenarios; - prepare handouts. - Develop practical tools and interview checklists: interview checklists; guidelines for working with victims; templates for procedural documents. Include a guide on the application of the Istanbul Protocol where necessary. Outcome: A comprehensive Training and Methodological Package tailored to the Kyrgyz Republic is developed, equipping lawyers with knowledge, practical skills and capacity on international human rights standards (CEDAW, CRPD, CRC). 2. Capacity building of lawyers Objective: in close collaboration with ROCA and the Bar Association Training Center to implement a training programme for lawyers to enhance knowledge and practical skills in working with victims of violence. Incorporate interactive and practice-oriented methods. - Organize and deliver series of trainings (three 2-3-day trainings) (populate the invitation among lawyers and prepare LoP; develop an agenda of trainings in coordination with ROCA). - ensure the use of interactive methods: role-playing (interviews, court proceedings); case studies; group discussions; - adapt the content during the training to suit the participants’ level. - ensure a safe and ethical learning environment and take gender and inclusivity into account. - develop assessment tools (pre- and post-tests); to assess participants’ knowledge before and after the training; to analyze the training outcomes; to gather high-quality feedback from participants; to document changes in skills (where possible). Outcome: A series of interactive, practice-oriented training sessions is delivered to lawyers, strengthening their knowledge and skills in working with victims of violence through role plays, case studies, and adaptive learning approaches. 3.To develop practical tools for use by lawyers in practice. Objective: in close collaboration with ROCA and the Bar Association Training Center create a set of practical tools for use by lawyers in real-world situations. - Developing a bilingual pocket guide for solicitors, containing step-by-step procedures, practical advice, and standardized protocols. - prepare checklists for interviewing victims with particular attention to girls, including PwDs; preparing for court proceedings; develop recommendations for preventing secondary victimization. Outcome: A set of practical, user-friendly tools is developed, including bilingual pocket guide, interview and court preparation checklists, and guidance with information on prevention secondary victimization in legal practice.
Qualifications/special skills
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in law, human rights, gender studies, social science, disability studies, or related field. A first level university degree in combination with a qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in gender, including SGBV prevention and response, child protection, disability inclusion and rights-based programming. Proven experience in addressing violence against women and/or girls, with demonstrated understanding of barriers faced by vulnerable groups, including women and girls with disabilities Experience collaborating with legal professionals, justice sector actors on people centered justice initiatives, or legal aid services, in policy development, legal analysis, or human rights programming Strong expertise in gender-responsive justice systems, including practical work with women and girls, persons with disabilities Experience/ability to apply HRBA and survivor-centered principles; knowledge of access to justice barriers for girls with disabilities and practical solutions; demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training and capacity-building on gender-sensitive and inclusive approaches for legal or service providers Familiarity with the local legal and policy context Knowledge of OHCHR and the UN System
Languages
Fluency in oral and written Russian is required; Knowledge of English and Kyrgyz is an advantage.
