You will be part of the ECB’s new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Office, a central team dedicated to driving the adoption and responsible implementation of AI across the institution. We are responsible for developing the ECB’s AI strategy, fostering a culture of innovation and empowering the ECB’s business areas to leverage AI for their specific needs.
The AI Office is committed to ensuring that the institution remains at the forefront of technological advancements while adhering to the highest ethical and governance standards.
In your role as AI Enterprise Architect, you will be the technical link between all business areas across the ECB, the AI Office and technical teams. You will be responsible for aligning AI initiatives with strategic business objectives and ensuring that our AI solutions are designed to deliver maximum value through efficient (re)use. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation to: (i) identify opportunities for AI-driven transformation; (ii) identify AI-related impact on business processes and the organisation; (iii) translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications; and (iv) identify, through impact analysis, how AI will transform business processes.
The ECB is an inclusive employer and we strive to reflect the diversity of the population we serve. We encourage you to apply irrespective of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or other characteristics.
Your role
As an AI Enterprise Architect, you will:
- design and implement a framework for AI across the institution;
- translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for AI solutions, working closely with IT and data science teams;
- analyse the impact of AI on existing business processes and activities, as well as on the organisation;
- build a robust infrastructure, together with the relevant tools, for analysing the impact of AI;
- develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for AI adoption across the ECB’s business areas, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives, and measure results following implementation;
- act as a subject matter expert on the application of AI to specific business domains;
- assess the feasibility and potential impact of proposed AI initiatives, developing business cases and value propositions to support investment decisions;
- ensure that AI solutions are designed and implemented in a manner that is scalable, sustainable and aligned with our enterprise architecture and data governance frameworks;
- ensure technology changes reflect simplification.
For this role we are seeking candidates who demonstrate the potential for growth, and we will support the selected candidate in their development of the required skills.
We actively support professional development for our staff. Besides learning opportunities such as training and mentoring, we encourage and support horizontal mobility after some years in the same position.
The position offers you excellent opportunities to drive the strategic integration of AI within a major European institution. You will play a pivotal role in transforming our business processes and delivering innovative solutions for the benefit of European citizens. You will be part of a multicultural team that strives for continuous innovation to make a positive impact on the lives of European citizens.
