The Position:
The ICT Associate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the IT infrastructure and systems of the UNFPA Ukraine CO. S/he will provide technical support services, including installation, configuration, relocation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of ICT equipment and resources, ensuring their continuous and reliable operation.
The incumbent will assist in managing the inventory of ICT assets and ensure compliance with organizational standards and procedures. S/he will provide timely support to users to ensure the effective functioning of ICT tools and systems, while promoting a client-oriented approach and enhancing users’ knowledge and efficiency through guidance and basic training.
The ICT Associate is located in Country Offices (CO) and reports to the International Operations Manager.

Job Purpose:
You will support the management of the organisation’s resources, assisting in implementing ICT standards and applications, managing data, information and workflow. You will provide ICT and administrative support services and daily technical support to CO staff.
You would be responsible for:

Supporting the implementation of ICT management systems and strategies; complying with corporate information technology standards for the CO, supporting the use of Enterprise Resource Planning systems for improved business results and improved client services;
- Ensuring effective functioning of CO hardware and software packages; performing technical functions, including assisting with the installation and repair of commercial and in-house hardware and software applications; assisting with routine repairs, application management, maintaining supplies inventory; monitoring of server traffic and performance; provision of support in backing up and restoring files, and virus prevention;

Ensuring ICT security through restriction of administrative rights to prevent the loading of unauthorised software; ensuring that desktop, laptop and server passwords and related policies are in line with established corporate standards;

Supporting networks administration, including the establishment of offsite backup, back up logs and restoration procedures; trouble-shooting network problems and responding to user needs regarding network access;

Providing administrative support by managing software, hardware and parts, including the maintenance of an up to date inventory; maintaining CO databases and providing orientation and coaching to staff; maintaining a library of ICT related reference materials; preparation of statistical reports as required.

Supporting software management including installation and upgrading of corporate and commercial software for servers and workstations, ensuring proper functioning and compatibility with organizational systems.

Supporting ICT infrastructure maintenance, including servicing and maintenance of computers, printers, and LAN hardware, including equipment that is out of warranty.

Supporting virtual meetings, conferences, and official events by providing technical setup and assistance at office and external venues.

Managing ICT assets and logistics including maintaining up-to-date inventory records of hardware, software, and ICT consumables; issuing consumables; managing stock; supporting identification and disposal of obsolete equipment in line with the obsolescence schedule; and maintaining updated staff contact lists including email addresses and phone numbers.
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or UNFPA management.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Completed Secondary Level Education required. University Degree in Computer Science desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:

Relevant certifications in hardware and software management and application including Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP);

6 years of relevant working experience, including network administration, support to management of hardware and software platforms, telecommunications facilities, knowledge of Windows-based packages/applications;

Good knowledge of PC/LAN operating systems, Microsoft Windows, corporate ICT security and viral protection systems, ERP;

Some experience in client support, such as, a Help Desk or User Support Unit.
Languages:
- Fluency in Ukrainian and English; knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably French is desirable
