Your job and responsibilities
Interested in the automotive industry and contributing to its future through the work of the Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the Automotive Regions Alliance (ARA)? Want to be involved in the monitoring and development of just transition and transport policy?
As a team member in the Unit C1 - COTER, you will be responsible for leading the COTER Commission’s work on the ARA, coordinating with stakeholders in view of establishing work planning and ensure its smooth running. You will provide analytical and policy support to CoR members, manage studies as relevant, and represent the COTER secretariat at working level on the topic of the automotive industry. Linked to this workstream, you will also be involved in COTER's work on just transition and transport.
You will organise meetings, seminars and conferences on the topic of the automotive industry, together with an assistant. You will liaise with hosting region(s)/area(s), prepare the programme and supervise practical arrangements.
You will also be responsible for supporting members in the preparation of CoR opinions and resolutions; identifying, monitoring and reporting on the progress of dossiers in the inter-institutional and wider context; drafting speeches, briefings, letters, and other documents; and providing information for data requests related to COTER's work. You will be part of the dynamic team of the COTER Commission secretariat, which consists of 15 colleagues.

Job-specific requirements
- You have passed EPSO CAST FGIV
- You have sound experience in EU policymaking in the areas covered by the post
- You have strong digital, analytical and communication skills
- You have a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the European Union and a satisfactory knowledge of another of the EU official languages. For functional reasons, a high level of English is required and a good level of French, is desirable.
- You have a good command of IT applications and tools, such as Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint, including AI tools in a secure environment.
- You are keen on leading projects and implementing them individually.
- You have a university degree in one of the following areas: economic development policy, law, economics, public policy, public administration, management, transport, or other fields related to the position.
