INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The Center for Thought Leadership (CTL) is looking for an Intern to support the coordination and operation of CTAF Working Groups (WGs) and budget management. Reporting to the relevant CTAF supervisors, the Intern will help organize meetings, prepare documentation, and support communication with stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of CTAF collaboration activities, as well as budget management.

The candidate will contribute to the effective management of CTAF’s Working Group processes and outputs, while gaining hands-on experience in stakeholder coordination, drafting, and international project support.

The intern will perform the following tasks, but not limited to:

  • Support the planning and coordination of CTAF Working Group meetings, workshops, consultations, and related events.
  • Support communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders participating in CTAF Working Groups.
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials and written outputs related to CTAF Working Group activities.
  • Support budget tracking and expenditure monitoring for CTAF activities and related workstreams.
  • Support preparation of financial inputs for donor reporting, internal reporting, and audit processes.
  • Provide general coordination and administrative support for CTAF activities, as needed.
  • Undertake other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Be enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree or in a Master’s degree program prior to the internship assignment or be a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
  • Academic background in international relations, business administration, finance, accounting, or climate related field.
  • Native-level English writing proficiency.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an intercultural environment.
  • Experience in stakeholder coordination, drafting, or supporting international projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
SELECTION PROCESS
  • Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
  • GGGI evaluates applications based on eligibility requirements, relevance of academic background and experience, and motivation to contribute to development work.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Duration: The internship program is for at least three months and up to six months. Once selected, interns must begin their internship either prior to or within 12 months of graduation. 

Stipend: GGGI interns receive a monthly stipend of USD $500 per month (unless agreed to be funded by sponsoring institutions). All costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be borne by either the interns themselves or sponsoring institutions.  

Visa: GGGI will provide a supporting letter for visa. Interns will be responsible for obtaining and financing the necessary visas.  

Travel: Intern will arrange and finance their travel to the internship location.  

Medical Insurance: Interns must present proof of valid medical insurance to GGGI upon returning the signed internship contract.

Confidentiality: Interns must keep confidential any and all unpublished information obtained during the course of the internship and may not publish any documents based on such information.  

Academic Credit: Interns may get academic credit from their institution of higher education for the internship. Interns need to check with their university to confirm their academic credit policy for internships.  

Working Hours: interns are expected to work during normal working hours. Leave should be pre-approved by the Intern Manager, and the latter should inform the Office of HR accordingly.

Learning Outcomes: before completion of the internship, Intern Managers are expected to review the learning outcomes with the intern.

Certificate: provided upon successful completion of the internship, upon request.
