Duties and Responsibilities

 Prepare and review simple tools, checklists, guidance notes, presentations, and training materials related to disability inclusion.  Support desk research on disability inclusion, accessibility, protection and humanitarian action.  Assist in preparing short notes, summaries, situation updates, case studies and briefing materials.  Support data collection from departments and field offices, including organising information in Excel sheets or trackers.  Assist in preparing meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up notes.  Support coordination with UNRWA departments, field offices, and relevant partners.  Help document examples of good practice, challenges, and lessons learned from disability inclusion work.  Assist in preparing materials for workshops, consultations, webinars, and awareness sessions.  Support administrative tasks related to meetings, travel planning, field visits, and internal coordination where needed.  Contribute to the organisation of files, references, and disability inclusion resources.

Qualifications/special skills

• A university degree, or be currently studying, in social sciences, disability studies, human rights, development, humanitarian studies, public policy, education, social work, international relations, or another relevant field. • Good understanding of UNRWA’s mandate and services, especially in the local and regional context. • Interest in disability inclusion, protection, humanitarian work, refugee issues or social development. • Some experience in research, writing, reporting, documentation, and proposal preparation. • Ability to collect and organize information in a clear way. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Good communication skills, including verbal communication and professional writing.

Languages

• Fluency in Arabic is required. Good English is preferred.
