Duties and Responsibilities

 Conduct desk research on disability inclusion, inclusive humanitarian action, accessibility, protection, and relevant UN or humanitarian guidance.  Draft and review tools, checklists, guidance notes, training materials, and presentations.  Support the preparation of short briefs, situation analyses, case studies, and barrier assessments.  Assist in reviewing documents from a disability inclusion perspective.  Support the collection and organisation of disability-related information and indicators.  Prepare and update Excel trackers, data sheets, and basic summaries.  Assist in drafting reports, meeting notes, concept notes, proposals, and communication materials.  Support coordination with UNRWA departments, field offices, and relevant technical partners.  Help prepare for meetings, consultations, workshops, webinars, and learning sessions.  Support documentation of lessons learned, promising practices and challenges from field-level experience.  Assist in organising disability inclusion resources, references and internal knowledge products.

Qualifications/special skills

• A university degree, or be currently studying, in disability studies, human rights, international development, humanitarian action, public policy, international relations, social sciences, protection, education, public health or another relevant field. • Interest in disability inclusion, humanitarian action, refugee response, protection, human rights or social inclusion. • Experience in research, writing, reporting, documentation, or proposal development. • Ability to collect, organise, and summarise information clearly • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Ability to travel across UNRWA sectors or field locations when required and possible. • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Languages

• Fluency in English. • Arabic is preferred.
