Unit Context:
The Infrastructure Engineering team designs, builds, and maintains the WBG's core IT infrastructure, including data centers, networks, and storage. They ensure infrastructure services are secure, scalable, and cost-effective across all business units. The team leads modernization initiatives and continuously optimizes infrastructure performance. They collaborate with cloud, cybersecurity, and application teams to integrate automation and security strategies. By championing automation and innovation, the team drives digital transformation and business continuity.
Duties and accountabilities:
This role sits within the Contracts, Vendor Management, PMO and Logistics team within the Infrastructure Engineering Unit. The Logistics and Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for the following:
• Asset lifecycle management, shipment and logistics of network and infrastructure equipment.
• Logistics coordination, tracking, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance.
• Strengthen operational controls and ensure audit readiness.
• Compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Shipments of kits and network equipment from HQ to COs via diplomatic pouch.
• Effective coordination with vendors, freight agents, finance teams, and internal stakeholders across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Asset disposal and storage.
Selection Criteria
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (for example, in the IT field: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1 year of related work experience).
• Knowledge of WBG logistics processes, including shipping documentation, and goods receipt verification, SAP goods inventory, procurement, and asset management functions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reconciliation, understanding of asset lifecycle management and compliance requirements.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Knowledge of handling WBG diplomatic pouch shipments and regulations.
• Strong proficiency in data collation (excel).
• Detail-oriented, collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused.
• Awareness of Agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
