Part of the Strategic Partnerships Division (SPD), the Private Sector Partnerships Section (PSP) leads UN Women’s engagement with the private sector, corporations, philanthropy, foundations, and individuals - both in terms of a substantive components and resource mobilization - and it drives a wide range of UN Women’s global initiatives: HeForShe, Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) and the Unstereotype Alliance (UA). It also leads the work with all UN Women National Committees, and on the development of individual/digital giving for private sector. PSP’s main aims are to ensure that UN Women develops and sustains high quality and impact focused partnerships to achieve maximum results for gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The PSP team is seeking a Partnerships Management Consultant to support the identification, cultivation, management of current partners and onboarding of new partners across its portfolio. The role will play a key part in advancing partnership development efforts by supporting outreach to prospective partners, conducting due diligence and market research, building strategic intelligence, and contributing to account management efforts that support PSP’s broader strategic objectives.
Under the supervision of the Partnerships Engagement and Special Initiatives Advisor, the Consultant will manage a diverse range of responsibilities and will be expected to deliver high-quality work with timeliness, consistency, and sound judgment. The role requires close collaboration across multiple functions, including due diligence operations, prospect research, and partnership teams, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Description of Responsibilities /Scope of Work:
Support partnership development and resource mobilization efforts across the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) portfolio
• Support the implementation of resource mobilization and partner engagement strategies across the UN Women Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) portfolio.
• Draft concept notes, proposals, presentations, pitch materials, and other communications products to support partnership development and management of existing partnerships.
• Maintain and update partner profiles, stakeholder engagement plans, and internal tracking tools to reflect evolving partner priorities, geographic interests, and thematic areas of focus.
• Support coordination with UN Women field offices and National Committees on partnership opportunities and ongoing engagements.
• Assist with the coordination of annual reporting processes, including documentation, data collection, and analysis.
• Support the planning and coordination of partner events, meetings, and engagement opportunities.
• Conduct due diligence screenings and background research on prospective and existing partners to inform partnership decision-making.
• Support donor record management and help ensure timely tracking of contributions and related documentation.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
Support partnership management and relationship coordination for HeForShe Initiative, including Barbershop roll-out through partnerships
• Support the management of relationships with existing private sector partners, with a particular focus on HeForShe partners.
• Support identification of prospects and partnership building to strengthen male allyship practices and learning, with particular focus on Barbershop roll-out
• Assist in identifying and researching prospective private sector partners to support new partnership development efforts.
• Serve as a coordination focal point for onboarding and managing nonprofit and academic partners supporting HeForShe.
• Serve as a coordination focal point for onboarding and managing universities and students-led organizations to adopt, adapt and implement Barbershop Toolkit 2.0.
• Maintain regular communication with partners and support day-to-day relationship management activities.
• Maintain partnership files, documentation, and shared drives to ensure effective knowledge management and continuity.
Support research, knowledge development, and advocacy efforts related to private sector engagement and male allyship
• Conduct research on prospective partners, including their areas of work, financial capacity, reputation, and alignment with UN Women priorities.
• Monitor market trends, partnership opportunities, and relevant developments to support outreach efforts.
• Support the development of knowledge products, briefing materials, and research outputs related to private sector engagement, with special focus on male allyship and Barbershop Toolkit 2.0. implementation learnings.
• Prepare advocacy talking points and background materials for key meetings, events, and international moments.
• Support the documentation of partner practices and lessons learned related to male allyship initiatives, especially Barbershop Toolkit 2.0.
• Assist in the development of tools and resources that strengthen understanding of male allyship practices and the TPM approach across partner organizations.
• Support engagement with universities and student networks to promote awareness of male allyship and gender equality initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in International Development, Business, International Relations, Public Policy, or other relevant social science field is required;
- A Bachelor’s degree in combination with additional two years of experience may be accepted in lieu of master’s degree.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of private sector partnerships or any relevant field
- Experience in gender equality and women's empowerment is an asset;
- Experience in working with UN Women or other UN Agencies is an asset.
Languages:
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of any other UN official language is an asset.
