The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for one
(1) Data Full-Stack Development Intern to provide support to Digital & Data
Department in Lima, Peru.

- Develop and productionize a React-based frontend,
including wizard and curator interfaces.
- Strengthen backend services (Python and Node.js),
improving performance, reliability, and API design.
- Implement and maintain AWS-based infrastructure
(Lambda, AppSync, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito).
- Automate data pipelines, including monthly GRIN-Global
data updates.
- Prototype AI/LLM tools (prompt versioning, RAG
experiments, evaluation workflows).
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and
system monitoring.
- Ensure system security, documentation, and readiness
for production deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute
to scalable solutions for CGIAR genebanks.
Requirements
What are we looking for?

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from
Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related
field.

Ranked in the upper third of their faculty (mandatory
requirement).
- Strong programming skills in Python and
JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React).
- Proven experience developing full-stack applications
(APIs, databases, frontend, authentication).
- Familiarity with Git, code review, testing, and CI/CD
practices.
- Ability to document work clearly and follow structured
development processes.

Proficiency in English and Spanish.
