Background

The Liaison function plays a key role in facilitating and maintaining effective coordination and communication between NRC and relevant authorities and stakeholders. The function is responsible for managing sub-agreements and MoUs with authorities, ensuring timely submission of mandatory and ad hoc reports, and addressing issues related to agreements and reporting requirements.

The role also supports the development of constructive and professional relationships with government entities while ensuring full adherence to humanitarian principles and NRC policies. In addition, the Liaison function contributes to strengthening NRC’s representation and visibility through accurate communication on humanitarian needs, NRC interventions, and the organization’s impact on displaced and vulnerable populations.

As part of this role, the Liaison function may represent NRC in coordination meetings and engagements with key stakeholders at different levels to support operational access, coordination, and effective programme implementation.
