The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the United Nations system’s designated entity for addressing environmental issues at the global and regional level. Its mandate is to coordinate the development of environmental policy consensus by keeping the global environment under review and bringing emerging issues to the attention of governments and the international community for action. The Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) is a global community of policy, business, and finance professionals and organisations committed to collaboratively generating, managing, and sharing knowledge on the transition to an inclusive green economy. The GGKP is led by UNEP, the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the World Bank). The mission of GGKP is to empower government decision makers, companies and financial institutions with evidence-based knowledge that can best support them to contribute effectively to the green economy transition. The GGKP provides its best practice knowledge management services through its three core platforms, the Green Policy Platform, the Green Industry Platform, and the Green Finance Platform. A Website Design and User Experience consultant (retainer-based) is sought to assist in developing functional mockups for an integrated digital platform that will serve as the definitive reference hub for green and circular economy knowledge. This platform will consolidate three existing specialized platforms (Green Policy Platform, Green Industry Platform, and Green Finance Platform) into a single, intelligent ecosystem serving diverse stakeholder groups including policy advisers, technical experts, portfolio managers, business representatives, and general audiences. The platform will feature AI-powered personalization, multi-dimensional navigation, interactive AI agents and bot, and specialized hubs (Country Hubs, Sectoral Hubs, and Industry Support Hubs) that provide tailored content experiences based on user profiles and needs. The platform will behave as a fully-fledged WebApp, mobile first, to guarantee a smooth UX across any device. The key objective of this consultancy is to provide branding and graphic design support across GGKP platforms and projects. Based on the current GGKP programmatic needs, the consultant will produce the following outputs: - Supply web page and web application layouts, UI elements, UX designs and graphic components on FIGMA - Based on GGKP KM team comments integrate edits and supply final web and web application layouts on FIGMA - Hands on contribution on the development on the functional frontend based on supplied web page and web application layout, for example by integrating knowledge, datasets, AI elements integrated for the demo demonstration. - Any other related activities in this context.

- A bachelor's degree in the field of graphic design, website design, UX design, or similar is required - Platform Design: Experience designing complex, multi-user platforms and applications with personalized content delivery. - Web Development Proficiency: Experience with developing web-page and app layouts, including UI elements design, UX design principles, Functional prototyping, Responsive design and Mobile design optimization. - FIGMA Expertise: Advanced proficiency in FIGMA, including Components creation and management, Auto-layout functionality, Interactive prototyping, Design systems development. - Additional Requirements: Frontend Technology Understanding: Knowledge of React, NextJS or equivalent framework and component-based architecture, and API Integration Knowledge: Understanding of frontend-backend API-based architectures and data flow. - Familiarity and experience in designing mockups the Knowledge Management System application would be an advantage. - Two examples of past work on website layout and UX/UI should be provided as supporting documentation.

- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
