The Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) programme is a core competency within NRC Bangladesh, focusing on supporting refugees and host communities to access their rights through legal information, counselling, legal assistance, collaborative dispute resolution, and support related to housing, land and property (HLP) rights, civil documentation, and access to essential services. The ICLA programme in Cox's Bazar is an established component of NRC's response, implemented through static and mobile service delivery modalities, including helpdesks, hubs and legal clinics, with a strong emphasis on case management, community engagement, and safe and inclusive programming.
The Technical Legal Coordinator provides strategic legal and technical support to the Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) programme in Bangladesh. The role focuses on legal research, analysis, knowledge management, and capacity strengthening to ensure high-quality, evidence-based legal protection interventions for refugees and host communities. The position contributes to programme development, advocacy, and organisational learning by monitoring legal frameworks, identifying trends, and supporting field teams and partners with technical guidance.
