About the job

The Intern will be a part of the Global Protection Team (GPT) and support the Team’s work on knowledge and information management, development, communication and dissemination of global Protection policy, standards and guidance, and the delivery of thematic events and training.

Under the guidance of GPT colleagues, the intern will support 1) Knowledge, information management and documentation (30%); 2) Contribute to the development and rollout of policies and guidance (30%); and 3) Contribute to preparation and delivery of thematic and learning events (40%).

The tasks will include, but will not be limited to:

Information and Knowledge Management

  • Support with Information management, including analysis and surveys targeting protection colleagues
  • Support the GPT knowledge management, including repository of policies, standards, and guidance and the Protection Sector’s intranet and website page.

Development and Rollout of Protection Policies & Guidance

  • Contribute to the development and support GPT communication and rollout of protection policy & guidance efforts, including Protection Glossary and service descriptions / definitions
  • Contribute to the development and/or rollout of protection policy and guidance (e.g. Child Protection and Centrality of Protection).

Preparation and Delivery of Thematic & Learning Events

  • Support the development of webinars, trainings and meetings on Protection components
  • Contribute to preparation and delivery of thematic learning events, incl. the 3-day annual DRC Global Protection Network Meeting and training
  • Support with coordinating GPT administrative tasks, including bi-monthly meetings.

About you

  • Analytical skills and ability to grasp and communicate abstract concepts.
  • Show attention to detail and commitment to delivering products of high quality
  • Be proactive, open-minded and flexible towards the different tasks assigned to you, including being willing and interested in undertaking other ad hoc tasks, as required

It is a requirement that you are enrolled in a university during the whole duration of the internship period in order to be considered for the internship. 

We offer

Contract length: 4-6 months subject to study requirements and further dialogue

Work location: Lyngbyvej 100, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, just by Ryparken station

Start date: August 2026. We can be flexible on the start date.

Working hours: Approximately 30 hours per week, subject to study requirements and further dialogue. We offer flexibility when you have study obligations next to the internship. 

The internship is not paid but we offer: 

  • 2,08 (unpaid) vacation days per month. The days can either be spent as you earn them or be accumulated 
  • Free lunch in our canteen (subject to our canteen being open) 
  • Free participation in our year-end/summer party 

Please note that if you do not have the right to work in Denmark (through nationality or existing work visa), you will need to apply for it should you be selected for the internship. DRC will support with the process, but please note it can take up to three months from initiating the process. You can read more here
