About the RoleThis role sits within the Private Sector Partnerships and Innovation team, focused on mobilising financial resources from philanthropic investors, foundations, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and corporations, building value-add partnerships with the private sector, and scaling innovative solutions to advance Gavi’s mission. To date, the team has pioneered the use of emerging technologies to accelerate vaccine delivery, built partnerships with global multinationals and leading country corporations, demonstrated how partnerships with the private sector for the integration of immunisation with other services like nutrition can accelerate health systems strengthening, and created the INFUSE platform to identify high potential innovators. Over 2026-2030, the Private Sector Partnerships and Innovation team has an ambitious agenda to fully harness and scale private sector tools, technologies, and business models to advance Gavi’s goals and focus on unreached and under-immunised children with equity as the organising principle. The Senior Manager, Philanthropic Partnerships and Integrated Delivery will manage a diverse portfolio of partnerships focused around integrating nutrition and primary healthcare with vaccine delivery, as part of a broader, multi-partner effort to capture efficiencies and synergies between programs that are currently siloed. To do so, the officer will mobilise and leverage funding from external partners, and look for opportunities for synergy with Gavi core funding, as well as other sources of funding, both internal and external. While working across the Gavi private sector and innovation portfolio, this role will focus particularly on expertise- based partnerships with industry leaders and national champions, and transversal partnerships between different types of partners (e.g. philanthropic, corporate and government) to advance integrated immunization services. 2. Key Responsibilities - Develop, lead, and finalise fundraising engagements with private sector partners (primarly philanthropy and corporate) across priority markets in support of Gavi’s strategic objectives: - Initiate, negotiate, and close grant agreements and contracts with new private sector partners, in support of Gavi’s core objectives; - In collaboration with other RMG teams, support the development of innovative financing mechanisms to scale the impact of private sector partnerships; - Build, manage, and maintain key stakeholder relationships in key target markets/industries; - Identify fundraising trends and build matched fundraising initiatives.- Manage and grow existing private sector partnerships, and secure new ones to support Gavi’s 2026-2030 strategic objectives and resource mobilisation goals for Gavi 6.0: - In collaboration with RMG teams and Gavi technical teams, identify prospects, develop value propositions, and structure partnership deals; - Act as the primary interface for day-to-day interaction between the Gavi Secretariat and the private sector partners, addressing issues, providing effective client service, and growth opportunities; - Monitor closely and evaluate regional and industry trends, business developments and policy changes which may affect Gavi’s engagement with the private sector strategy in emerging and growth markets; - Develop and maintain individualised partnership account plans, adhering to financial and programmatic reporting requirements from donors.- Oversee existing Immunization-Nutrition Integration (INI) portfolio, design new ones and manage INI learning agenda - Manage existing INI projects and the integration of nutrition outcomes into Gavi’s internal workstreams - Lead the design and launch of the “next generation” of INI partnerships with Gavi, specifically identifying opportunities in humanitarian contexts - Work with Gavi's internal teams (country support, programme, policy) to ensure that in-country projects are designed to reach zero-dose children through combined health and nutrition interventions - Lead design and implementation of INI learning agendas, to ensure all INI projects contribute to evidence base on nutrition interventions influence on immunization demand and coverage in high zero-dose populations - Represent Gavi's INI agenda externally, including at key convenings and global and regional alliances- Support the development of Gavi’s innovation agenda, by engaging with corporate sector partners, multi-stakeholder platforms, and innovators to identify and adapt promising and scalable technologies, approaches, services, and business models with the potential to accelerate Gavi’s strategic goals;- Participate in and coordinate cross-cutting activities within the team, in contribution to the overall resource mobilisation and private sector partnerships goals. Your Experience and SkillsExperience and Type of Exposure:- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in building, cultivating, growing, and monitoring partnerships around multi-donor, multi-stakeholder health programs. - Subject matter expertise in integrated nutrition and/or primary healthcare programs, or another area in global health.- "Familiarity with Gavi's operating model, including country team engagement and grants management processes — or equivalent experience in a comparable donor-funded, multi-stakeholder, mission-driven organisation (e.g., Global Fund, GPE, CEPI, Wellcome, large bilateral).- Familiarity and comfort working with businesses, philanthropic organizations and non-profits advocating for and driving social impact.- Experience working across multi-donor, co-financed delivery platforms.- Experience leading evidence synthesis and learning agenda in global health.- Experience managing multiple projects within a fast-moving environment and in the context of large organizational strategies.- Experience working with, and preferably in, low- or middle-income countries (LMICs).- Experience engaging with executives and senior level stakeholders, building consensus, and facilitating cross-functional dialogues.- Experience and comfort representing organizations in high-level technical meetings, conferences and other forums. Education and Qualifications:- Essential: Master’s degree or equivalent degree in public health, economics, finance, business, international development, or relevant discipline.Critical Technical and Functional Skills:- Ability to navigate complex internal stakeholder environments to align external commitments with planned or allocated programmatic spend.- Ability to craft co-financing opportunities between Gavi country programmes and aligned philanthropic portfolios (nutrition, integrated PHC, etc.)- Private Sector Partnership Development: Excellent ability to initiate, build, negotiate, and manage diverse, high-value partnerships with private sector actors, including foundations, philanthropies, corporations, and HNWIs, with a strong focus on shared value and impact in global health or development.- Fundraising and Business Development: Confirmed experience in identifying, structuring, and closing funding agreements, grants, and innovative financing mechanisms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with donor requirements.- Strategic Analysis and Trend Monitoring: Proven capability to monitor, analyse, and respond to trends in business, development aid, and the private sector, applying insights to partnership and fundraising strategies.- Project/Programme Management: Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives or projects in fast-moving and resource-constrained environments, ensuring timely delivery and impact.- Stakeholder Engagement and Communion: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with ability to present compelling value propositions, facilitate cross-functional dialogue, and engage diverse audiences from corporate leaders to technical experts.Languages Needed:- Fluency in written and spoken English (required).- Additional languages, especially French, are an asset.4.
