The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for a
Treasury Analyst for the Finance Department.

About the position: This position plays a key role in overseeing
CIP’s treasury operations, ensuring effective liquidity management, timely
execution of payments, accuracy of bank reconciliations, and compliance with
financial and tax obligations. Actively contribute to process improvements,
strengthening of internal controls, and the provision of reliable financial
information for decision-making, in coordination with internal stakeholders and
financial institutions.

Key responsibilities:

·Manage the execution of local and international
payments, ensuring compliance with internal policies and approval workflows.

·Monitor and administer institutional bank accounts,
including analysis of balances and transactions.

·Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts to support
effective liquidity management.

·Monitor and organize banking transactions to ensure
proper recording and processing.

·Analyze and validate treasury transactions in the
general ledger (GL), ensuring consistency with bank records.

·Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for
transaction processing and issue resolution.

·Ensure compliance with tax obligations related to
payments, in coordination with the accounting team.

·Prepare treasury reports and support internal and
external audits by providing required documentation and analysis.

·Comply with applicable CIP health, safety,
safeguarding, and administrative policies and procedures.

Requirements

What are we looking for?

·Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting or
administration.

·At least 5 years of professional experience in in
treasury preferably in a non-profit environment.

·Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel.

·Experience in ensuring compliance with internal
financial controls and donor-specific treasury requirements.

·Strong knowledge of cash flow forecasting, liquidity
management, and financial risk mitigation

·Accounting software packages (ERP Preferable)

·Excellent written and oral communication skills in
English and Spanish.

·Experience or strong technical knowledge in areas such
as not-for-profit accounting, IFRS application, budget development and
management, financial analysis, auditing, and taxation will be highly valued.
