About this position

We are looking for an administrative consultant to support the Risk Management Department (RSM).

The Risk Management Department (RSM) oversees institutional risk governance and coordination across financial and non‑financial risk areas, supporting senior management and institutional decision‑making bodies.

What you’ll do

The consultant will provide administrative support services, including:

  • Manage calendars and coordinate meetings, committees, workshops, and events, including logistics and follow-up.
  • Prepare agendas, meeting materials, and background documents.
  • Support the coordination of requests, action items, and follow-ups.
  • Track deadlines and deliverables and follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with different Departments or teams to support the execution of agreed actions.
  • Draft and format emails, notes, and presentations, in line with institutional standards.
  • Maintain organized electronic records in accordance with IDB Group guidelines.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, committees, and events, including logistics and follow-up.
  • Support invoices, contracts, and procurement processes by coordinating with relevant teams and tracking submissions.

What you'll need

  • Education: Associate degree in Business Administration, Management, International Relations, or a related field relevant to the responsibilities of the role;
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in adminstrative support services.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional    knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

  • Citizenship: No requirements.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration

 International consultant Full-Time, 6 months (up to 48 months, if applicable).
