About World Bank Group Controllers (CTR):
The WBG Controllers Vice Presidency is responsible for all aspects of the financial reporting and internal control framework for IBRD/IDA IFC and MIGA, and the extensive Trust Fund/Partnership portfolio of the World Bank Group (WBG) entities. It supports an appropriate fiduciary control framework and administering disbursements for WBG lending and leads the client service function for the World Bank Group’s corporate expenses.
Organizationally, Controllers is comprised of three departments: (1) Corporate Accounting & Reporting, (2) Loan & Financing Operations, and (3) Financial Operations and the Solutions and Transformation division mapped under Vice President’s Front Office. In Controllers, our mandate supports both internal and external clients while we focus on delivery, optimization, impact, and people & culture.
Controllers AskAccounting Chennai (CTRAN):
Within Controllers, AskAccounting (CTRAN), based in Chennai, operates under the Financial Operations department and is responsible for the following core functions: 
•  Client Support on queries related to administrative expenses such as official travel, global travel card, payroll, staff receivables, payments to vendors and consultants, and tax
•  Documentation for Accounting Business Services SharePoint site and communication to internal stakeholders including finance staff, task team leaders (TTLs), and budget approvers.
•  Transaction Support including credit limit increases on myCard
•  Vendor Call Backs requesting confirmation from vendors on change requests to their master data.
CTRAN is looking to recruit a suitable candidate for the Extended Term Temporary (ETT) position in the team. The candidate should be willing to work night shifts and be flexible to change shifts based on business requirements.  
What you will do:
The Extended Term Temporary will be responsible for these core functions:
Client Support:
•  Provide client support via phones and emails
•  Perform vendor master record (VMR) call back verification and due diligence
•  Triage and assign email cases to service desk analysts 
•  Generate and prepare the weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the unit
•  Review internal processes and suggest process improvements 
Documentation
•  Triage and post news items to the website; Post relevant announcements in the front-end systems; Submit kiosks to Internal Communications team within TAT

Selection Criteria

What you will bring:
Candidates must have:
•  A Bachelor’s degree
•  0-2 years of relevant work experience. Experience in handling help-desk operations will be an added advantage.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Strong analytical skills
•  Attention to detail
•  Ability to gather, organize, and present data in a user-friendly format
•  Basic skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•  Working knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Excel, and programming languages (Python) to design, maintain and improve existing reporting applications
•  Familiarity of AI tools, Power Automate, CoPilot will be an added advantage
•  Ability to execute tasks independently.
