About the RoleThe Financial Reporting, Accounting & Controlling Team (“FRAC”) is an integral part of the Finance Team. This team is responsible for ensuring that Gavi meets all statutory and legal financial reporting requirements in the US, Switzerland, and the UK. Additionally, FRAC oversees financial accounting and operations, ensuring the integrity of accounting transactions and the effective management of SAP (“ERP”). The team also leads a robust financial control environment to ensure clean statutory and donor audits. The Manager, Financial Reporting and Risk assists the Senior Manager in completing Gavi Financial Reporting functions, and performs key risk and control management oversight, financial and KPI reporting.2. Key Responsibilities- Support the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting in preparation of Financial Reports, coordinating Audits and preparation of Documentation.- Manage completion of the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM) quarterly reviews. Provides guidance and support to risk owners to ensure key risks are mitigated.- Monitor ORR(Operational Risk Register) Risks and Controls and ensure compatibility of FRAC RCM to Gavi requirements.- Coordinate the preparation and publication of FRAC monthly metrics deck. Ensure uniformity, simplicity, and completeness of data to track progress and enable management decisions.- Assist Senior Finance Managers to design and develop new Metrics with to accurately measure and represent FRAC’s updated Ways of Working and role.- Prepare Environmental Sustainability reporting for Statutory reporting.- Support additional financial reporting, and ad hoc projects as assigned. 3. Your Experience and Skills - Typically, 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial accounting and management accounting preferably in a US GAAP environment.- Typically, 2 years working with risk, controls or compliance frameworks, with internal or external Audit experience preferred.Education and Qualification- Must have: CPA, CA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent or be actively studying toward one of these qualifications. - Desirable: Degree in Finance or Accounting Technical and functional skills - Excellent accounting technical skills with experience in accounting under USGAAP preferred. - Excellent business writing and editing skills. - Demonstrated experience in performing risk and control oversight, financial or management or KPI Reporting.- Critical thinker and problem solver.- Knowledge of the use of SAP reporting functions would be an advantage.Languages needed - Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. - Working knowledge of French is preferable.4.
