Position Objective
The Senior HR Projects Assistant reports to the Director of People and Culture and provides support to the Director and the Department of People and Culture to allow them to fully function in their role. The incumbent coordinates cross-functional projects, supports HR policy development and implementation, and ensures process integrity across the Department. The role contributes to strengthening the efficiency, accountability, and alignment of DPC operations with the Fund’s strategic objectives and governance standards.

  • Provide high-level support to the Director in the management of departmental priorities, work planning, and performance monitoring. Coordinate preparation of departmental inputs for governance meetings (e.g. Board sessions, Executive Office reviews, audits).
  • Oversee and contribute where applicable to departmental managerial processes to ensure efficiency, quality assurance, effectiveness, adaptability, and innovation of the Department’s output in alignment with the Director’s vision at the administrative level, working closely with the Director and Senior Staff of the Department.
  • Ensure consistent quality across a range of deliverables through thorough planning and coordination of the publication process for board meetings for successful and timely delivery of board documents.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications of the team, ensuring timely dissemination of information to all, including reporting of KPIs, correspondence, audit, etc.
  • Coordinate and deliver departmental events  (e.g. conferences, workshops, training sessions, other formal and informal meetings).
  • Identify and recommend key areas for the Director’s attention for his/her managerial role, then communicate messages on behalf of the Director to the team and cross-departmentally for internal flow of information; and
  • Conduct research, data analysis, and benchmarking to inform strategic decision-making and Board submissions.
  • Serve as focal point for internal coordination between DPC and other Departments, ensuring timely and accurate exchange of information.
  • Draft and review communications, briefings, and reports on behalf of the Director, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with institutional standards.
  • Ensure cross-team coordination and operational coherence between Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partnering functions.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, procurement, and vendor contracts related to HR programs and initiatives.
  • Lead and track progress on special HR projects, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and reporting requirements are met. Consolidate data and draft, analyze and research key documents and reports proposals relevant to internal policies, including procedures, guidelines and Board-related documents. This may include background research, collecting and analyzing data, as well as supporting Board-related matters.

Requirements (Education, experience, technical competencies required of the job)

  • Bachelor’s degree, with at least seven (6) years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Proven experience in HR policy or project management, process optimization, or strategic HR operations.
  • Previous experience supporting larger teams is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, drafting, and analytical skills with demonstrated discretion and integrity.
  • Ability to synthesize information, anticipate issues, and propose solutions.
  • Good knowledge of office technology such as MS office package, and experience in working with databases is highly desirable.
