Roles and responsibilities
Generic Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines and standards
• Ensure compliance with CC strategy, tools, handbooks, guidelines and standards
• CC specific technical responsibility for implementation of technical activities of CC project(s)
• CC specific technical responsibility for tracking of financial expenditures for technical activities of CC project(s)
• CC specific technical responsibility for the quality control and monitoring of project activities
• CC specific technical responsibility for project documentation of technical activities of CC project(s)
• Provide specific technical analysis and feedback to NRC representatives in coordination forums
• Assess, promote and document ideas for technical improvement and further program development options
• Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist
• Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
Specific responsibilities:
1. Technical Support. Providing technical support and leadership to partners and communities implementing Education activities. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant minimum standards and collaborative engagement with the technical team in developing minimum technical standards, SOPs and guidance.
2. Monitoring and Reporting. Responsible for quality control and monitoring of project activities, ensure that all reporting and monitoring requirements are complied with.
3. Accountability. Responsibility to prepare for technical documentation, including scope of works, monitoring reports…, as per NRC policies and the requirements of management for Education or related activities.

Generic professional competencies
• Desirable minimum 3 years of experience in humanitarian project implementation, managing and supervising education projects with proven experience on technical and managerial skills.
• Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts;

• Fluency in Portuguese and English
• Fluency in one or more of Cabo Delgado local languages
