The objective of this consultancy is to support UNRWA Lebanon Field Office in producing and delivering high-quality audiovisual and communication materials that effectively document and communicate UNRWA’s programmes, humanitarian interventions and response, donor-funded projects, and engagement with Palestine Refugee community in Lebanon.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Consultant will coordinate with and report directly to the Field Public Information Officer. The Consultant shall maintain confidentiality and adhere to UNRWA communication protocols and ethical standards in all produced materials. The Consultant will be responsible for activities described below and to assist the Communications and Public Information Office: Provide high-quality video and photography services covering UNRWA programmes, the living conditions and realities of Palestine Refugees, as well as field activities and events in Lebanon, ensuring content aligns with UNRWA messaging, branding and standards. Produce and edit short films, videos, and reels, including subtitles, animations, and visual enhancements as required. Develop concepts, scripts, storyboards, and creative visual content for video, print, digital, and web platforms. Review video and film drafts and provide technical input on branding, messaging, language, and overall quality. Capture, edit, and process photos (including restoration, noise reduction, and tonal adjustments), and ensure proper archiving and management of UNRWA LFO photo library, including captions and metadata. Monitor, implement, and review communication materials, ensuring compliance with UNRWA branding and visibility requirements. Coordinate with Field Public Information Officer and relevant departments through planning meetings to identify design, video, and communication needs. Participate in field visits to camps and other locations to support content production and community engagement initiatives. Conduct regular field visits to camps and other locations to support content collection, documentation, and engagement with Palestine Refugee community. Undertake any other ad hoc audiovisual and communication tasks as required.

Qualifications/special skills

A university degree in Visual Arts, Communications, Media Production, Film Studies, or a related field from an accredited university. Minimum of two (2) years of documented professional experience in film/documentary writing, producing, directing, videography, photography, and editing, is required. Proven experience in producing digital multimedia content and managing audiovisual projects, is required. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, or equivalent software), is required

Languages

Excellent command of written and spoken English and good working knowledge of Arabic. Competencies: Excellent communication and drafting skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or UN agencies is considered an asset. Monthly Salary: USD 1721.47
