The International Volunteer Program by Humana People to People is a unique 10-month experience designed for people who want to learn, grow, and contribute to meaningful long-term development projects. Through a combination of training, international volunteering, and reflection, you'll gain practical skills, intercultural experience, and a deeper understanding of global challenges and solutions.

What You'll Do

As an international volunteer, you will support community-led development initiatives focused on:

  • Education
  • Health and Public Health Awareness
  • Community Development
  • Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Action

Working alongside local communities and project teams, you'll contribute to initiatives that create lasting impact while developing valuable personal and professional skills.

Program Structure

Stage 1: Training in Denmark (3 Months)

Begin your journey with intensive training in Denmark. Together with other international volunteers, you'll explore topics such as:

  • Global inequalities and sustainable development
  • International cooperation and development work
  • Culture, community engagement, and project preparation
  • Practical and teamwork skills for fieldwork

Stage 2: International Volunteering (6 Months)

Put your knowledge into practice by joining a long-term development project in:

  • India
  • Malawi
  • Mozambique
  • Zambia
  • Guinea-Bissau

You will work directly with local communities and project teams, contributing to sustainable initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in international development.

Stage 3: Reflection & Evaluation in Denmark (1 Month)

Return to Denmark to reflect on your experience, evaluate your learning journey, and share insights gained during your time abroad. This final stage helps transform your experience into long-term personal and social impact.
