Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Resource Management and under the direct supervision of the Information Management and Technology Officer, the Senior ICT Associate (System) will provide overall assistance and daily technical support to users of information management tools and technology infrastructure of the mission. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing the ICT system infrastructure of IOM South Sudan together with itssub-offices andbecompetentin the technicalaspect of system infrastructure, troubleshooting, and user orientation.
Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support for ICT systems, including servers, workstations, printers, and peripheral devices.
Monitor system performance and ensure availability, reliability, and security of ICT services.
Support and assist users using Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD, Intune, InfoSec, Sharepoint Online and the Organization’s corporate applications such as Wave, Prima, etc.
Serve as Systems Tier 2 level, receive and handle escalated technical issues from ICT Assistant.
Manage and maintain locally hosted servers that compose of Microsoft Windows server, Print services and Active Directory.
Administer account lifecycle using InfoSec portal for account management.
Supervise, coordinate the activities, and provide technical guidance to assigned junior staff of. the IMT unit.
Provide training to users in using corporate and standard applications, security awareness and new applications being implemented by the Mission/Organization.
Identify and proactively recommend required upgrades and modifications ensuring consistent service availability.
Ensure that all helpdesk queries are answered appropriately via email, GSS portal, Microsoft Teams or in person. Install system components, and software; suggest the best technical solutions in order to achieve required standards while taking into consideration local technical constraints.
Manage problem-solving, support, and assistance for use of application technology.
Supply and install all ICT equipment to Sub office and update all programs about new changes in IT System and coordinate equipment servicing.
Manage and ensure the maintenance sent to the sub-offices is registered in ICT Inventory and all standard software are installed.
Assist in visualization and presentation by preparing and generating information product, pictorial or graphical design, charts, tables and infographics.
Liaise with service providers for the provision of adequate ICT services and equipment in coordination with the Procurement & Logistic Unit and ensure all computer purchases are within the ICT standards.
Manage the maintenance of hardware & software inventory and inform all programs about the number of software requires for their sections.
Inform users regularly of facilities and services available and advise staff of environmental changes.
Implement IOM ICT standards and IOM IT Policies and Guidelines in particular to systems and ICT procurement.
Maintain the regular daily data protection system (backup), check the status of the backup and report to the specialist if there is any problem.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant experience, or
Completed High SchoolDegreewith sixyearsofprofessionalexperienceintheabove field.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
Strong experience in ICT support and administration, including Active Directory user and permission management, Microsoft 365 and cloud services administration, and use of ticketing systems for issue tracking and resolution.
Proficient in remote support tools, and software application tasks such as installations, patching, and antivirus management.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
Experience on handling account through IAM or Identity Access Management.
Strong coordination, monitoring and evaluation, analytical, project development, liaison and reporting skills.
Excellent writing and communication skills in English are a distinct asset.
Experience of working in an international organization.
Skills
In-depth knowledge of system equipment specifically cloud infrastructure and services.

Strong proficiency with end-user-level Microsoft Office 365 application and collaboration tools.
