Overview of position

CTG is looking for candidates whose experience match this TOR.

Role objectives
  • Inspect fuel storage capacity and fuel distribution point in all locations, including security and safety (related to fuel storage and distribution)

  • Inspect fuel storage capacity and fuel distribution personnel in delegated depot(s).

  • Ensure that all fuel receipt is properly documented, including any shortage justified.

  • Ensure that the fuel quality control of the bulk fuel is done for each fueling of our clients tanks. (Quality control process must be established)

  • Make periodic random checks during Fueling/delivery operations to ensure that the fuel per vehicles/Agency confirm to the quantity recorded on the documentation (logbook, excel sheet)

  • Ensure that the adequate equipment such as pumps, fire extinguishers, security equipment are implemented and utilized in accordance of the safety/security rules

  • Implement the Fuel Management System’s Fuel Management Module in all locations.

  • Ensure that the supply of bulk fuel is done in the way to avoid shortage of fuel.

  • Utilizes efficiently available resources for fuel delivery and ensures fuel delivered in right quantity and quality.

  • Tracks and analyses the utilization/ consumption of fuel per each our clients site allocation, tracks any change and updates records accordingly.

  • Creates reports based on forecast, delivery, & consumption as per guideline, identify the problem areas and suggests improvement.

  • Ensures that light vehicles, trucks, and generators fuel consumption tests are conducted from time to time and as required by CO.

  • Liaises with the Administration section for the invoicing of the approved fuel usage for the month.

  • Reviews all equipment and personal injury accidents that take place at the fuel facilities and develop corrective action, incorporating our clients policies.

  • Prepare the monthly fuel report (receipt/delivery/transaction) to the immediate supervisor.

  • Share experience gained with other employees and strives towards creating good team building and harmonious atmosphere.

  • Will perform the duties of all subordinate personnel or one level/grade up, in the event of any other Fleet personnel being absent from his or her duty.

  • Travel occasionally with the country as required by the Organization.

  • Will perform any other duties as requested by immediate Supervisor.

Project reporting

This role reports to the line manager.

Key competencies
  • Have a national identity card.

  • Submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae.

  • Provide a blank certificate of good conduct and morals.

  • Hold a BT or BTS diploma in Logistics or Transport or related field.

  • Have at least three (3) years of progressive experience in the field of fuel attendance

  • Have a good mastery of use of the computer tool (Word, Excel, internet)

  • Have a good level of spoken and written French, knowledge of the English language is an asset.

Team management

This role has no team management responsibility.
