Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Associate Financing Partnerships Officer is assigned to the Partner Funds Division (CCPF) within the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department (CCSD). CCSD leads thematic operations, knowledge innovation, and partnerships. You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to the designated Technical International staff.

Your Role

The Associate Financing Partnerships Officer will provide support in accurate cofinancing data management and reporting, coordination with trust fund managers, and support to the division's outreach activities to fund teams.

You will

  • Manage the financing partnerships projects database and respond to data requests across departments, including coordination with trust fund teams for Trust Fund periodic data updates.

  • Support reporting of sovereign and fully-administered nonsovereign cofinancing by developing analytical dashboards and consolidating reference tables for inputs to ADB corporate reports (e.g. Annual Report, MD&A, Statement of Operations, Partnerships Report), as well as briefing notes, Member Information Notes, and Partner Profiles.

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of IT and Data Team outreach activities, including trust fund learning clinics, information sessions, and targeted workshops; contribute to the development of processes to help standardize how ADB staff manages external funds.

  • Ensure knowledge generated from these activities is systematically captured, catalogued, and made accessible to other staff

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the IT and Data team, including for meetings, events, and consultant recruitment and contract management

  • Perform other related duties as required, including support to the CCPF One-Stop-Shop for Trust Fund Initiatives and assistance to International Staff and Senior Staff on projects and strategic assignments.


Qualifications

You will need:

· Bachelor's degree in in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field preferably with advanced training with at least 5 years of relevant work experience

· Written and verbal proficiency in English

· Solid understanding ADB operations and a working knowledge of cofinancing procedures

· Demonstrated capacity to work independently; can accomplish own work program proactively and with minimum supervision

· Ability to liaise, work effectively and interact in a professional manner with staff within own work location, and with other ADB stakeholders

· Good coordination and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds.

This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff's particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff's performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
