Mission and objectives

Established in 1965, UNDP is the United Nations’ global development network, operating in nearly 170 countries and territories. Its mission is to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities, and build resilience to crises and shocks. The Istanbul Regional Hub (IRH) is UNDP’s primary knowledge and advisory center for the Europe and Central Asia region.

Context

The UN Volunteer will be an integral part of the IRH Human Resources (HR) team. Working closely with the HR Associate and the Operations team, the UN Volunteer will provide critical day-to-day administrative and operational assistance. This assignment is essential to bridging current capacity gaps, supporting end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, maintaining accurate HR data, and ensuring that the IRH workforce continues to receive timely and effective HR services.

Task description

Under the direct supervision of UNDP IRH Human Resources (HR) Associate, the UN Volunteer is responsible for:
• Provide clerical assistance for the smooth running of the Human Resources processes and activities in the office
• Provide general assistance in recruitment process including circulation of vacancy announcements, interview arrangements, preparation of materials necessary for the interviews and technical test, support with reference checks, sending out messages to candidates, etc.
• Internship management
• Perform other related duties as assigned
