Overview of position-
CTG is expanding in South Sudan and is looking for community engagement assistant for its client.
Under the supervision of the National Capacity-Building and Governance Officer (NO-B) for ECRP II and in collaboration with relevant units in IOM South Sudan, the National Operations Officers (NOO) and Program Assistants (PAs) in the various field locations, the candidate of choice will assist in delivery and quality control of community engagement and capacity-building activities, including trainings for local institution and capacity building of Community engagement assistants.
This role reports to the National Operations Officer.
Key competenciesBachelors degree or diploma in any relevant discipline & from recognized Institution with experience in community outreach, public affairs, development & / or education.
Experience working in complex humanitarian operations, specifically meeting timelines.
Experience managing & mentoring teams & in promoting achievement of project objectives.
Excellent interpersonal, cross cultural & diplomatic skills & the ability to lead & work collaboratively with a diverse team.
Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in Africa, (specifically in South Sudan & Rubkotna county).
Fluency in English & Arabic is essential both written & verbally & fluency in any local languages are an advantage.
Ability to design & deliver training effectively.
Excellent report writing & analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
The ability to be flexible & work well under pressure in a fast paced & detail oriented team environment.
Ability to use Kobo collect, ODK & fulcrum.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point & email / internet software.
