About this Talent Pool

IDB Invest is establishing a Talent Pool of highly qualified IT Senior Associates or Officers to support current and future business needs. 

The ideal talent should have experience or be interested inplanning, implementing, and supporting information technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

What you might do:

Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines and Lakehouse solutions on Databricks and Azure to support analytics, BI, AI, and ML use cases. Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to develop reliable ETL/ELT processes, optimize performance, ensure data quality and governance, troubleshoot and modernize data platforms, and contribute to best practices in architecture, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. 

What we are looking for:

Education: Master’s degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or related quantitative fields. 

Experience:  3 - 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer in cloud-based data environments.  

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, including platform administration and development using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.  
  • Experience with the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem, including ADLS, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL/Data Warehouse.  
  • Ability to build and maintain data pipelines and solutions supporting Analytics, BI, AI, and ML use cases.  
  • Knowledge of Lakehouse architectures, data governance, security, and performance optimization best practices.  
  • Experience with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and data governance tools such as Unity Catalog; Collibra experience is a plus.  
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Languages: Proficiency in English, spoken and written, is required. Spanish, Portuguese or French would be a plus.
