The Accounting Unit is looking for a Senior Accounting Business Analyst to support the implementation of the Capital Markets System (CMS) project during the critical deployment phase. This temporary position will reinforce the accounting workstream and ensure the proper implementation of accounting processes within the new system. The role will contribute to validating system configurations for the accounting sub-ledger, defining and coordinating testing activities, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring smooth coordination across all accounting-related activities. Given the complexity, regulatory impact and tight timelines of the project, this reinforcement is essential to support a secure transition and mitigate operational risks. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Validate configuration specifications with the vendor for the CMS accounting sub-ledger.
  • Act as a coordination point for accounting-related activities during the implementation.
  • Ensure consistency, quality and traceability of accounting processes within the system.
  • Define and maintain testing strategies and test plans.
  • Support and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify and resolve issues during testing and implementation phases.

PROFILE

Academic background:

University degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field.

 

Professional background:

  • Proven experience in accounting processes within a financial institution or banking environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in system implementation projects (ERP / core banking / accounting systems); ideally with a consulting background.
  • Familiarity with core banking systems will be highly appreciated.
  • Hands-on experience with testing phases (UAT), system validation and interaction with vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and financial reporting processes.
  • Good understanding of system implementation lifecycle (testing, validation, go-live support).
  • Strong coordination and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capacity.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a transversal, project-based environment.

Language skills:

  • Excellent command of one of the two CEB official languages (English and French), both oral and written, and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.
  • Knowledge of one or more other Member State language(s) is an asset.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

1) The CEB offers an initial 4-months temporary appointment starting as soon as possible with the possibility, under certain conditions, of renewal up to a maximum of 24 months.

2) Grade and salary:

  • A2
  • Depending on level of experience, monthly salary starts at 7,652.42€, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
  • Appointment may be made at a lower grade, based on the qualifications and professional experience of the selected applicant.
  • Grades are established without any discrimination (including gender discrimination).

As an international financial institution, CEB remuneration is exempt of income tax in France.
