The Mission
Aides aux Personnes Vulnérables (AAPV) is a Cameroonian NGO working in the fields of Health, FSL (Food Security and Livelihoods), Governance, Climate & Environment, as well as Scientific and Operational Research.
Since 2023, the organization has been implementing its projects in the Far-North, North-West, and South-West regions of the country, benefiting from the financial support of various institutional donors, notably the Government of Canada and the African Palliative Care Association. The organization now aims to expand its activities by developing new partnerships, consolidating existing ones, and securing new funding. Within this framework, the organization is recruiting a Grants & Partnerships Manager.
In this role, the Grants & Partnerships Manager will play a key part in: (i) supporting the development of strategic partnerships, (ii) centralizing and consolidating reports, and (iii) coordinating donor relations. He/she reports directly to the Program Coordinator.


The Grants & Partnerships Manager is responsible for all grants and partnerships aspects of the organization, including: (i) managing the contractual cycle, (ii) consolidating narrative reports and monitoring financial reports, (iii) ensuring compliance with donor requirements, (iv) coordinating partner follow-up, (v) animating the partnership framework, (vi) supporting the development of project proposals and amendments, and (vii) overseeing document management.


He/she will work closely with:
•Program Managers and the National Director
•Finance teams
•Experts consultants

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


A. Grants Management
•Ensure the complete management of the lifecycles of various grants, from contract signature to closure.
•Ensure strict compliance with donor requirements regarding reporting, operational follow-up, and financial management.
•Develop contract amendments, extensions, budget modifications, and other donor requests.
•Prepare donor briefings and support the preparation of potential monitoring or field visits.
•Manage the grants document database: contracts, annexes, reporting documents, and official correspondence.
•Update the grant tracker and flag critical deadlines.
B. Partnership Coordination
•Draft and manage partnership agreements, MoUs (Memorandums of Understanding), and their respective amendments.
•Facilitate consistency in approaches among partners, including formats and quality standards.
•Monitor the implementation of the partnership framework based on the principles of equality and mutual accountability.
•Identify new partnership opportunities and develop strategic partnerships.
•Strengthen existing partnerships and initiate new ones with both international and local NGOs.


C. Monitoring, Reporting, and Consolidation
•Ensure the collection, review, and consolidation of narrative reports.
•Coordinate with finance teams to consolidate financial reports.
•Prepare integrated reports intended for donors in strict compliance with deadlines.

D. Project Development and Funding Watch
•Monitor and identify funding opportunities in alignment with AAPVs strategy.
•Supervise the compilation of, and participate in writing, project proposals, reports, and contract modification requests to be submitted to donors and partners, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.
•Contribute to the development of new proposals.
Skills and Education
•Masters Degree in Political Science, International Relations, International Development, or a related field.
•Strong understanding of donor platform operations, as well as the rules and procedures of various institutional donors.
•Proficiency in Project Cycle Management (PCM), logical frameworks, and indicators.
•A minimum of 2 years of experience in reporting/project proposals with various donors and/or experience in managing projects funded by institutional donors.
•Excellent writing, analytical, and synthesis skills (in both French and English).
•Sufficient administrative/financial knowledge to understand and review financial reports and budgets.


•Key Qualities: Strong planning, anticipation, organization, and coordination skills to handle a high daily workload with numerous internal and external requests. Stress resilience. High sense of diplomacy and experience working in an intercultural environment. Team player with the ability to unite and coordinate team members without being their direct hierarchical manager/supervisor.


•Excellent command of both French and English (written and spoken).
Compensation & Benefits
•Salary: 300,000 XAF / month
•Work flexibility: Partial remote work option available
•Leave: In accordance with Cameroonian labor law
