ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT:
These jobs are found in Regional Bureaux (RBs), Country Offices (COs), Area/Field Offices (AOs/FOs). Job holders typically report to a Programme Policy Officer or Head of Field Office.
At this level, job holders are expected to demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to various queries with only general guidance. There is a requirement to use judgment in dealing with unforeseen operational problems on a daily basis. Job holders are expected to manage resources and coach and coordinate support staff.
JOB PURPOSE:
To deliver specialized technical, coordination, and project management support to Home Grown School Feeding (HGSF), contributing to effective food supply management, partner engagement, monitoring, capacity development, and evidence‑based decision‑making in line with programme guidelines and organizational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
1- Assist in coordinating the delivery and distribution of food and related supplies to schools in collaboration with logistics, supply chain, and cooperating partners.
2- Support the implementation of Home-Grown School Feeding (HGSF) activities, including coordination with local partners and stakeholders.
3- Support regular monitoring of school feeding activities at school and partner levels to ensure compliance with programme guidelines.
4- Support coordination with the Ministry of Education, local authorities, cooperating partners, and other stakeholders involved in programme implementation.
5- Assist in tracking programme pipelines, supply planning, and operational requirements related to school feeding activities.
6- Support documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and programme achievements.
7- Perform any other programme-related duties as required to support the effective implementation of school feeding activities.
8- Liaise with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
9- Provide technical support and assist in the development and implementation of various activities and processes within the school-based programme portfolio supporting alignment with wider programme policies and guidelines.
10- Provide specialized project management support to ensure financial transaction, reporting and payment process for various vendors are performed within the established targets following WFP’s internal system, policies and procedures.
11- Coordinate and communicate with school feeding local partners, agencies, NGOs and government institutions to perform accurate food security analyses and to ensure efficient delivery of food assistance.
12- Support the capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners and national government within the specific technical area. Act as a point of contact for resolution of a range of operational queries and problems within a specific technical area of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
Experience: Six or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Has worked with technical teams (i.e. nutrition, VAM, etc.).
• Has contributed to implementation of programs
• Has observed or assisted with policy discussions.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the duty station’s language, if different.
