  • Perform day-to-day site supervision of the contractor’s activities, ensuring adherence to design requirements, construction specifications, safety, quality, and environment and social management plans.

  • Review and validate the contractor’s detailed designs, shop drawings, method statements, material approvals, and as-built documentation, ensuring technical correctness and compliance with project specifications and structures code standards.

  • Monitor the installation of solar pumping units, pipework, and related mechanical/electrical works, verifying their compliance with design capacity, layout, and technical specifications.

  • Check and approve test results for materials (e.g., concrete strength, soil compaction, pipeline pressure tests) as per the quality control procedures described in the project documents.

  • Maintain detailed site daily records, work progress reports, testing logs, and minutes of site meetings.

  • Participate in weekly progress meetings and coordinate with the contractor, community representatives, WFP Engineering, and other stakeholders.

  • Attend meetings and prepare and review reports, minutes and correspondence.

  • Liaise with stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.

  • Provide guidance and direction to contractors and design consultants.

  • Support the commissioning and final handover process, including verification of tests on completion, training of local user groups, and preparation of taking-over documentation.

  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
