About this position
We are looking for a Knowledge Management Analyst Consultant . As Knowledge Management Analyst Consultant , you will assist with the development and implementation of knowledge management and legal tech initiatives. You will work in the KM team part of the legal department (GCL/GCL). This team is responsible for knowledge management and legal tech for the department.
Our department advises all of the governance bodies of IDB Invest, a multilateral development bank organized as an international organization owned by 48 member countries. As part of our functions, we provide a full range of legal support to IDB Invest’s mission of promoting the economic development of our Latin American and Caribbean developing member countries, by investing in private sector companies.
What you’ll do
- Support the Knowledge Management Principal Officer with key KM initiatives, including advancing the use of AI and other forms of technology relevant to legal practice.
- Investigate and validate potential AI use cases; assist with the development, testing, and implementation of AI tools; assist with trainings and preparation of supporting materials and communications, all in accordance with the legal department’s tech plan.
- Manage the legal analysis library, and identify and deploy methods to continuously augment and improve library content and end-user experience.
- Follow up with designated project attorneys and outside counsel on certain KM initiatives, including knowledge-based PowerBIs and other dashboards, training programs, and projects designed to capture legal know-how.
- Assist with the maintenance and continuous improvement of the KM initiative list to be a reliable and important source of information.
- Assist with other knowledge management needs, such as updates to the portal, and those arising out of process improvement projects, and revisions to model documents, guidelines, frequently asked questions, and lessons learned documents.
- Create well-organized, clearly written reports, including PowerPoint presentations and graphical representations of KM projects.
What you’ll need
- Education: A bachelor's degree, preferably in law, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: Between 2 and 5 years of progressive experience in knowledge management,library and information science, legal technology, document preparation, data collection, and systems improvements.
- Languages: Proficiency in English
