GCF is seeking a top-tier individual with a demonstrable track record of harnessing experience, energy and networks to tackle complex global climate change challenges. You will be able to quickly scan and analyze complex, competing issues and lead significant sized teams to find solutions in evolving contexts, across multiple geographic locations.

To support this vision, the GCF is seeking to contract the Consultant to carry out the tasks, duties, and responsibilities, deliver the set deliverables and provide support to the Department of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (DMEL) as detailed below. The consultant will be based at GCF Headquarters in Songdo, Incheon, South Korea.

Position Objective

The AI and KM Consultant will support the development and implementation of the GCF’s knowledge management framework by strengthening knowledge capture, organization and sharing across the organization. The role will contribute to enabling AI-powered knowledge management, enhancing knowledge repositories, and producing high-quality knowledge products. She/he will bring her/his strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support data quality assurance and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.Knowledge Creation and AI application

  • Support the design and implementation of AI agents by capturing business needs and facilitating the development of technical prompt and AI solutions.
  • Support the continuous improvement of AI agents by identifying opportunities to enhance knowledge quality and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to enabling effective AI-powered knowledge retrieval by consolidating knowledge from fragmented sources and accessible knowledge base.
  • Run lightweight, hands-on AI experiments — testing how current tools and agents handle GCF content — to quickly show what is feasible and surface options for the team to pursue.
  • Act as a working-level point of contact with the GCF's technical teams, taking part in technical discussions, capturing requirements, and translating between knowledge needs and technical delivery.
  • Carry out routine quality checks on AI-generated outputs, covering accuracy, source grounding, and tagging quality, and feeding the results back to improve the system.

2. Knowledge Management and Product Creation

  • Maintain and enhance knowledge repositories by cleaning, classifying and curating knowledge assets to ensure that information is well-structured and easily retrievable.
  • Support the development and implementation of knowledge management frameworks.
  • Support the production of knowledge products, including briefs, reports, guidance notes, presentations, and other knowledge documents.
  • Conduct research, synthesize information, and organize content into high-quality knowledge products tailored to business and stakeholder needs.
  • Identify knowledge needs and facilitate the creation, organization and dissemination of relevant knowledge assets through internal and external communication channels.
  • Provide flexible hands-on support across the team's knowledge workstreams, helping each translate its needs into the shared knowledge pipeline.

3. Data Support and Coordination

  • Support the management and coordination of data request channels, ensuring timely resolution of data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Validate reported data by performing quality assurance checks, escalate and support the resolution of data quality issues as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve data issues, improve data quality, and ensure the availability of reliable data for reporting and analysis.
  • Serve as the focal point for assigned thematic areas by coordinating data requests, providing data support to stakeholders and conducting analyses of results.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field: Information Management, Business Administration, Economics, Environmental Management or other related areas;
  • At least (2) years of experience in knowledge management, data management, information management or a related field.
  • Proficiency and experience in AI for knowledge extraction and analytical purposes, engineering of prompts, testing AI systems, and digital information platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining, and organizing document and data repositories, including the proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with GCF project cycles, operational modalities, and applications is desirable.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and initiative in responding to evolving business needs and organizational priorities.
  • A genuinely AI-native working style: hands-on experience building with and experimenting on current AI tools and agents (e.g. custom GPTs, Claude projects, copilot and automation features), including outside formal work settings.
  • A generalist, execution-oriented mindset — comfortable doing the hands-on legwork and moving across topics as priorities shift.
  • A natural translator: able to follow technical conversations and explain them plainly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Strong curiosity and fast-learning habits,  with the initiative to keep pace with a fast-moving AI landscape and share new tools and techniques with the team.

Contract Period and Duty Station: Twelve (12) months, based at the GCF Headquarters in Songdo, Republic of Korea.
