Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Finance Officer (SFO) to review Purchase requests and coordinate with Program staff for cash

Projections required for timely fund management.

  • Finance Assistant (FA) will prepare Cash and bank payment documents with accurate coding as per policy and

highlight any shortcomings in the documentation for rectification by the program.

  • After the completion of payment documentation and necessary approvals, the Finance Assistant will submit the

documents to SFO for further processing.

  • Assist in bank and cash reconciliation at regular intervals for record purposes.
  • Assisting in Withholding tax calculations while processing the vendors payments, based on guidance from tax consultants as per FBR and KPRA regulations.
  • Creating monthly online PSIDs for FBR withholding taxes (Income Tax and Withholding Sales Tax).
  • Following up with the Supply Chain and program team for missing supporting documents.
  • Maintaining payment folders on Box for future reference and audit purposes
  • Properly file and label the documents of the project for easy access.
  • Daily updating of the payment tracker
  • The Assistant will support the SFO in entering transaction data into Integra
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Budget vs Actual (BvA) reports.
  • Assist in Annual, Internal, and project audits
  • Assist in the creation of online PSIDs for monthly withholding tax payments on the FBR portal
  • Undertake other tasks as requested by the line Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance.

Work Experience:

1-2 years of relevant experience with NGOs, INGOs or with local govt.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude
  • Integrity and compliance-minded approach

Language Skills:

Must be proficient in Urdu & English languages.
