What we are looking for:
Short Description:
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organisation dedicated to protecting the rights of displaced and affected people during crises. NRC delivers high-quality programmes to support people forced to flee, helping them rebuild their lives and establish a new future. It operates across both new and protracted crises in 40 countries.
NRC specialises in five core competencies: counselling and legal assistance (ICLA), protection from violence, education, shelter and settlements, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). These specialised areas enable NRC to respond effectively to the diverse needs of displaced populations.
NRC began operations in Bangladesh in 2018 and continues to support Rohingya refugees and vulnerable Bangladeshi communities affected by climate change and displacement.
NRC Bangladesh currently implements programs across camps and unions in Ukhiya and Teknaf, with interventions in education, Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA), shelter, WASH, and protection. In the Rohingya camps, the NRC manages learning centres, ICLA, and WASH hubs.
