• Accurate and compliant processing of passengers, baggage, cargo, and travel documentation in accordance with UN, aviation, immigration, customs, and security requirements. • Effective coordination between UNSMIL, airport authorities, immigration officials, customs representatives, and service providers. • High-quality passenger support and customer service for UN personnel and authorized travelers. • Accurate passenger, cargo, and operational records, including manifests and supporting documentation. • Timely submission of weekly shift performance summaries to the First Reporting Officer. • Consolidated, reviewed, and quality-checked incident reports prior to submission. • Weekly summary reports reflecting incidents, setbacks, operational challenges, and corresponding observations. • Strong attention to detail resulting in the timely identification of document discrepancies and adherence to established procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Document Verification: Prepare flight documents, passenger manifest, boarding passes, waiver sheet for non-UN passengers, baggage tags, cargo check passports, visas, and other travel documents to ensure they are valid and authentic. • Ensure travelers are compliant with entry requirements. • Work closely with immigration officers, customs officials, and other airport personnel to streamline the processing of travelers. • Communicate effectively to ensure a smooth operation. • Address and resolve issues that may arise during the immigration process, such as document discrepancies or delays. • Provide support in case of emergencies or irregularities. • Maintain accurate records of passenger interactions and any issues encountered during processing. • Perform Check-in passengers & their luggage against passenger manifest & ensure that accompanied baggage is weighed measured. • Use advanced systems to scan documents, check databases, and track traveler movements. • Assist passengers, check-in and support Staff members in the terminal for UNSMIL/commercial flights. • Provide customer service by answering questions, providing directions, and assisting travelers who may be experiencing difficulties. • Supervise / coordinate work of aircraft loaders/ contractors if required. • Compile passenger and cargo manifests and submit them to supervisor for verification.

Qualifications/special skills

High school or equivalent diploma is required. A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in movement control related services or general experience in the field of transport, travel related, or logistic fields or administration is required. Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this job opening Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
