IRC Background:  The IRC’s Center for Financial Opportunity (CFO) helps newly arrived refugees and other low-income individuals reach self-sufficiency by finding entry-level employment and progress to living wage jobs, learn basic financial management skills and build assets, and start small businesses. The Center then helps families move sustainably out of poverty by offering high-quality, culturally-and linguistically accessible, integrated economic empowerment services.

Under the supervision of the Workforce and Integration Program Manager the Senior Data and Quality Assurance Specialist will support data entry and data quality assurance of clients enrolled into CFO programs, with an emphasis early employment programming, including the County’s Vocational ESL program, San Diego Newcomer Project, Financial Capabilities, Individual Development Accounts, and the Communities in Action (CinA) Program.

Job Summary: Accurate data, data analysis and representation are central to the successful operation of any non-profit organization. The IRC in San Diego utilizes multiple data systems, including Salesforce, SDNP and Efforts to Outcome (ETO) to capture the activities and impact of our work. The Senior Data and Quality Assurance Specialist is a full-time position that will work primarily on data entry, quality assurance ensuring consistency in data and documentation accuracy across the IRC’s and the funders data reporting platforms.

Data Entry

  • Using paper forms or excel tracking sheets, enroll clients, record case notes and data points in Efforts to Outcomes (ETO), SDNP, and Salesforce data tracking platforms as related to direct service, screening tools and assessments, and referral services;

  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure timely entry of client demographics, intakes, services, follow-ups, referrals; job placement; job training and screening outcomes into systems;

  • Perform data entry for the Financial Capabilities and Individual Development Accounts programs into the ETO system;

  • Assist in data entry backlog when needed in different databases across programs.

Quality Assurance

  • Using Paper and cloud based formats to implement quality assurance on SDNP, CinA and VESL plus files.

  • Using excel tracking sheet to track data and carry out quality assurance in the SDNP and ETO databases

  • Review clients’ records in databases to make sure the data entered comply with the grant requirements

  • Deliver training and coaching to CFO staff, strengthening technical proficiency while ensuring adherence to program standards and compliance requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of related professional work preferably in a social service, academic, research, or evaluation environment;

  • Strong data management skills, with ability to conduct basic data analysis from different sources;

  • Strong attention to detail;

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong experience in MS Excel preferred;

  • Experience working with efforts to outcomes; salesforce; SDNP databases strongly preferred;

  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to work productively and accurately while under pressure in a fast-paced environment;

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, English proficiency required;

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

Working Environment: 

  • Standard, professional office environment, including the current hybrid mode of remote work within San Diego County and required in-office days and some 'field' time within the service delivery area to perform the above-outlined responsibilities. Office working environment is subject to change based on organization/business needs.

  • Requires evening work, with a possibility of weekends.

  • San Diego Office hours are scheduled Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm.

This role is expected to end on June 30, 2027.

Compensation: (Pay Rate: $27.08-$30.56/hr). Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.  Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
